Apparently, this site is a good choice for those who want to combine traveling and dating. Unfortunately, according to our own experience, and reviews from former customers, this site is a fake chat scam and a subscription rip-off.

The operator in the United States is DMM Solutions Inc, based in New York. For other countries, the operator is SOL Networks Ltd, based in Sliema, in Malta. The second company is well-known for all kinds of rip-offs and scams. We have written several reviews about their fraudulent platforms.

The first impression of YourTravelMates.com is positive. The site looks legit and the right place to find friends to share a trip and to talk about traveling. Apart from being the right website to meet like-minded people, it also looks like a place with good chances for flirting. Perhaps you will find someone interesting for a date or a trip together. However, this site is a complete rip-off. The operator of the company, DMM Solutions Inc / SOL Networks Ltd, is well-known for running numerous fraudulent platforms.

A fake chat scam

Our experience after registering was awful. We received dozens of invitations for chatting, within just a few minutes. All of them were from attractive women. But some profile photos are from women that we have seen in the past, on many other sites. It was clear that the site is a fake chat scam, and the company employs fake chat operators. They may also use bots to create and manage these fictitious profiles.

An expensive subscription rip-off

When a platform uses “credits” as the payment method, we should not fear a subscription rip-off, as these payments are normally non-recurring. However, on this site, the credits must be purchased with a subscription. The subscriptions are extremely expensive. The basic subscription, for 150 credits per month, costs 19.99 USD. But this is only the price for the first month. From the second month onwards, the price is 49.99 USD, per month. However, with only 150 credits, there is not much that can be done, because sending a single email costs 10 credits.

Those who want to use the site often, must choose a more expensive subscription. Some of these subscriptions cost up to 299.99 USD per month. Nevertheless, the real scam is not the price. The problem is, according to several former users, terminating the subscriptions is extremely difficult. We read many reviews on the internet, from angry customers. They complain that they have been charged, even though they canceled their subscriptions. Therefore, we consider this platform to be a subscription rip-off.
