Report on WellHello.com review

WellHello.com makes a good first impression. The platform has a modern design. We also found general information on the landing page. At first sight, this website seems a good choice. Registration is free and is completed in a few minutes. This portal also seems to have a lot of members. On the homepage, we see a big selection of profile pictures.

The profiles on the landing page show female and male users. This makes this portal appear quite reliable. From time to time, some websites use fictitious profiles that only display female users to attract male members. That would ultimately be a sign of fake chat. The profiles on the landing page make a good first impression.

What the portal offers also sounds good. You can find a match here for a serious commitment. But casual dates and swinger experiences can be found too. So this website seems to make everything possible. This is, however, a negative sign. It is usually better if a dating portal aims for just one particular target group. Anyway, we did some research on the internet. The conclusion from our research was less than satisfactory.

The operator of the website is Morganite Ltd, which is based in Nicosia, Cyprus. This location is quite a hotspot for unreliable operators. We have already reported several times on companies from this location. Moreover, this operator is a well-known player in the online dating business.

Is WellHello.com a rip-off?

This online dating portal is a rip-off. Our research shows the profiles on the landing page are fake. A fake profile shows a fictitious person with whom a date in real life is not possible. And there is a lot more to mention. Fake chat operators control these fake profiles. They encourage new members to chat. While chatting, they will not identify as fictitious people. Their goal is to increase the income of the operator. Costs will arise after registration.

A user will need premium membership to send messages. In the first place, this subscription is a waste of money. There is no chance of meeting a real person on this website. Second, there are signs of a subscription rip-off. Reviews on the internet mention this. And the location of the operator is a hotspot for this kind of scam. We have already had experience with other companies from this location. Finally, automatic renewal is mentioned in the terms and conditions. Our research vindicates those reviews on the internet alleging the subscription system is a trap.

Registration on WellHello.com

The process of registration is simple and completed in a few minutes only. On the landing page, we see the screen for registration. Only a few details are needed to create a profile here. We indicate our gender. It is possible to register as a male, a female or a couple. Additionally, we have to provide a valid e-mail address. Then we enter a password and our age. Last but not least, we have to submit our ZIP code. Our location is needed to enable the matchmaker to find potential matches for us later.

At the next stage, we see various offers of premium membership. It is possible to skip making a purchase. But the button enabling us to skip this option is well-hidden at the bottom of the site. As we see it, this is a cheeky trap. We are supposed to take out a subscription before we visit the platform. This is not a sign of a trustworthy website. Anyway, we skip the payment option and continue to the members´ area.

We feel obliged, however, to mention a few more aspects of the registration process. We are not required to enter a single item of personal information. Other members of the platform do not know what we look like. We are not asked to describe our appearance. Neither do we have to upload a profile picture. And we do not have to verify our e-mail address to visit the website. This is in fact recommended, but it is not compulsory.

Members’ area on WellHello.com

After registration, we checked out the members´ area on WellHello.com. First, we did not verify our account. This is recommended, but we were still able to visit all sections of the site without verification. Then we checked some profiles out. Again, this is possible without a verified profile. Second, we looked for matches. In the members´ area, we found numerous profiles. We also found links to porn platforms.

In principle, we anticipated good prospects of finding a match. But our research shows this website uses fake chat. Within minutes of acquiring membership, we received more than 40 messages from other members. To restate the point made earlier, our profile does not contain a single piece of information. This is a clear sign of a fake chat scam. One minute later, we had already received more than 50 messages in our post box.

The messages come from fake chat operators. They are trying to encourage us to chat. To achieve this goal, they sent us erotic messages. Some even mentioned a date in real life. However, dates are not part of the offer here. The profiles on the website are fictitious. It is not possible to meet a real member here. All profiles are fake and controlled by fake chat operators. The goal of moderation is to increase the income of the operator.

Terms and conditions of WellHello.com

Extract from the terms and conditions from the WellHello.com website. Current status of the terms and conditions as of March 30, 2022.

Last but not least, you expressly understand, acknowledge and agree that the Site may create and maintain some AI profiles on the Site in order to keep a continuous level of interactions during low attendance hours. Indeed, some Users of the Site may actually be created by the Company and, therefore, the information, text, and pictures contained in these AI profiles do not pertain to any actual person, but may be included for entertainment and educational purposes only (life events, experiences, interests, and geographic locations are all fictitious and nothing contained in any such company-managed profiles or messages is intended to describe or resemble any real person - living or dead).

Costs on WellHello.com

Registration is free. Later, costs will arise for premium membership. At this point, we would like to point out two facts. Paid membership is a waste of time. All profiles on the site are fake. There is no chance of finding a real match here. The subscription is also a cheeky trap. During registration, there is a high risk of falling for the trap. It is possible to purchase a subscription while registering. This is a clear sign of a trick. However, some former users fell for it. We found reviews from such former users on the internet.

Premium membership is offered with different terms. One form of premium membership runs for one month only. This kind of premium membership costs 24.95 USD. However, the payment recurs every month. The subscription renews automatically and has to be proactively terminated by the user. In addition, paid membership for one full year is offered. This kind of membership costs 7.45 USD per month. Last but not least, trial membership which runs for one day only is also available.

Trial membership is the real trap. It runs for one day and costs only one US dollar. But it will renew automatically as an expensive premium membership afterwards. There is no chance of avoiding this. The costs are well-hidden. They are not fully explained, but are noted in the small print of the payment section. Trial membership renews at $42.48 every month. Moreover, the website operator makes termination difficult too. So this kind of membership will renew again and again. All payments will be made by credit card. It is a regular payment that recurs every month.

Conclusion from our WellHello.com experience

WellHello.com is a rip-off with a subscription trap. Costs will arise after registration. A new member will receive free basic membership first. This kind of membership allows him to use many features. One important feature that is free is being able to read messages. Within minutes of acquiring our free membership, we received more than 40 messages. This is a clear sign of fake chat. We also found proof of fake chat in the legal information. This means in effect that there is no chance of meeting a real person.

Fake chat operators will start a chat. But they will not identify as fictitious people. The goal of moderation is to lure new members into a trap. Payment can be made as early as during registration. Premium membership is of course a waste of money. However, trial membership will be offered: this is the real trap. It runs for one day and will extend to a monthly paid subscription. This is a cheeky trick, and it gets even trickier.

The new form of membership is not even shown as a subscription. After trial membership, very high costs which are not clearly explained to users will arise.

Moreover, the website operator makes terminating normal premium membership difficult too. The operator has a bad reputation. In the experience of former users, the operator makes termination difficult. Termination requests duly submitted in time will be ignored or declined. The website operator is Morganite Ltd, which is based in Nicosia, Cyprus. Just incidentally, this location is a hotspot for this kind of scam.

WellHello.com uses fake chat. In the terms and conditions, it says NOTHING CONTAINED IN ANY SUCH COMPANY-MANAGED PROFILES OR MESSAGES IS INTENDED TO DESCRIBE OR RESEMBLE ANY REAL PERSON – LIVING OR DEAD).” A photo resembles a real person, so that is the 1st reason the company should not use a photo for a managed profile. They have also used the name and photo of Starslut1on1 as a managed profile. I originally saw it about a year ago on pussymatches, started a chat, and was directed to Only fans or similar. I believe she is real and Well hello is using her name-photo-profile with out consent
