Report for TemptationTemple.com review

TemptationTemple.com advertises itself as a popular dating website, where users can match and chat with attractive local singles. The website claims to have over 4 million active members and offers free registration. The home page of the site displays a picture of a beautiful woman, which suggests that this is the type of person you can meet on the site. Overall, it seems to be a reliable and safe place to find dates.

This website is operated by Meteor Interactive BV. This company is based in Groot-Ammers, in The Netherlands. Since we have given this operator many poor reviews in the past, we decided to investigate this site further. Unfortunately, we found that TemptationTemple.com is no different from their other rip-offs.

In our experience while testing the site, and scanning the Terms and Conditions, we discovered that this website contains a fake chat scam. In the terms of service, the operator admits to employing staff to interact with users, and states that this is an “entertainment” website. There is no way to meet any of the profiles in real life. Additionally, users must use a virtual currency to send messages. These “credits” are expensive and must be bought in bundles.

Details on the TemptationTemple.com review

At first sight, TemptationTemple.com appears to be a trustworthy dating site. Their claims that they have over 4 million users, and that they offer free registration, would suggest that this is a promising place to find local dates. Though this all looks great at first, our review found that it is just another fake chat scam. The operator of this site is known to us for this type of rip-off. The operator goes by the name Meteor Interactive BV and is based in Groot-Ammers, in The Netherlands.

When first logging into this website, users will probably notice their inboxes immediately filling up with enticing messages. The issue is that these messages are sent by fake chat operators, or computer chatbots. Also, if you want to respond to these suggestive invitations, you will first have to purchase an expensive bundle of virtual credits. This is a rip-off, since users are not adequately informed about the fictitious profiles here.

Just a fantasy service

The Terms and Conditions reveal that this website is full of fictitious profiles. It states that these profiles may be run by employees of the operator, or by computerized chatbots. There is no way to meet these accounts in real life, and conversations with them cannot lead to real dates. The chances of contacting someone genuine here, are very low.

From the Terms and Conditions

You also understand that this is a fantasy entertainment Service and that (i) the profiles are fictional and your interactions will be with operators; (ii) we do not conduct background or criminal record checks on users, or verify their identity, and you accept all risk of interacting with people via the Service […]

Chatting is pricey

As previously mentioned, each message you send on TemptationTemple.com must be paid for. Since fake chat operators are trained to encourage user spending, this is a dangerous scam. Users may not be aware that this site only provides entertainment and cannot lead to real dates. As a result, they may spend large amounts of money chatting with a fictitious profile.

In the first few minutes of using our test account, we noticed messages streaming into our inbox. When attempting to reply, we were directed to a payment page. This operator is known for this scam.

From the Terms and Conditions

[…] Exchange Credits to send or receive messages or photos, chat or engage in other Services activities beyond what is offered at no charge.

The conclusion from our TemptationTemple.com review

TemptationTemple.com, run by Meteor Interactive BV from the Netherlands, looks like quite a promising website for finding local dates. However, our experience found that this is not the case. Sadly, this website is simply another fake chat scam. The operator admits to using fictitious profiles and states that the site is only meant for entertainment. Chatting with the fake chat operators is expensive. Users must pay for each message they send. Since it is impossible to meet anyone real here, we consider this a rip-off and a scam.
