Report for SocialSex.com review

The main page of SocialSex.com claims that users can find naked photos of attractive local singles and arrange hookups or dates with them. The background imagery features various suggestive videos of beautiful women. It is easy and free to register an account. This makes it quite enticing for people who are looking for casual sex, or fun chats, with singles in their area. The operator of this website is Winchester Solutions Ltd, which is a company from Chatham in the United Kingdom.

Though SocialSex.com appears to be a promising dating website, on the surface. A closer look revealed that it is a fake chat scam and a subscription rip-off. This is based on our experience of reading through the Terms and Conditions, as well as making an account, to test the site. Our review discovered that this site admits to using fictional profiles. However, this information is not easily available to users. Most visitors to this site would have no idea that many of the profiles are fake.

Also, we found evidence of a subscription trap. Sending messages requires users to purchase an expensive membership subscription. The Terms and Conditions state that users must cancel their subscriptions within 5 days of the renewal date, to avoid being automatically rebilled. In the case of their cheap 3-day trial, cancelling is impossible. Users will be charged the regular monthly fee no matter what. Overall, this site is full of suspicious profiles, and it is unlikely to find anyone genuine here.

Details on the SocialSex.com review

Though we had high hopes for SocialSex.com, we were disappointed. Our experience using the website, and reviewing its Terms and Conditions, found that it is a fake chat scam. Most users will not read the terms. So, most people will be unaware that most of the profiles here are fake. The operator admits to using fake chat operators and bots, to interact with members. However, this information is difficult to find. The operator of this website is Winchester Solutions Ltd from Chatham, in the United Kingdom.

This website also contains a subscription trap. An upgrade to a premium membership is a requirement, if users want to access all the website features, including the ability to chat. The Terms and Conditions reveal that users need to submit a request to cancel their subscription, at least 5 days before their renewal date. In the case of the 3-day trial offer, this is impossible to achieve, and users will end up paying an expensive fee. We would not recommend this site to anyone.

Fictional “E Star Program” accounts

As soon as we logged into our test account on SocialSex.com, we checked out the Terms and Conditions. Only by diligently reading the entire document did we discover that this site employs the use of fake profiles, and fake chat operators. These are referred to as “E Star Program” profiles, or “Online Emissary” accounts. It is mentioned that these accounts are not real. Instead, they are run by computer chatbots, or employees. Because users are not informed well enough about this, we consider it a scam.

From the Terms and Conditions

You acknowledge that You understand that some of the profiles and Members displayed on them are not actual members of the site. E STAR PROGRAM / ONLINE EMISSARY are not associated with any other user of the site, but are sent to You in an effort to promote broader enjoyment, additional activity and fuller participation in all our Services.

To cancel your monthly Membership you must notify socialsex.biz of your cancellation by e-mail to the billing department at least Five (5) Days before the expiration date of your then current Membership term. To cancel this agreement, mail or deliver a signed and dated notice, which states that you, the buyer, are canceling this agreement, or words of similar effect. This notice must be emailed to: support@socialsex.biz […]

Dangerous subscription trap

Not only does this website mislead members into believing that the profiles here are genuine, it is also a subscription trap. The terms state that users must email the operator, at least 5 days before their subscription renews, if they want to cancel. However, the site offers an extremely cheap 3-day trial. If you purchase this trial, there will be no way to cancel, and you will be charged the full cost of a subscription.

The conclusion from our SocialSex.com review

Unfortunately, our review of SocialSex.com found it to be a fake chat scam, and a subscription rip-off. The chances of falling into a subscription trap are extremely high. Users may be misled by enticing subscription deals, which automatically renew at the full price. Also, the operator admits to using fake chat operators, though users are not made sufficiently aware of this fact. For these reasons, we do not recommend this website.
