Report for MyDirtyNeighbour.com review

The home page of MyDirtyNeighbour.com looked professional and well-designed. The domain of the website suggested that this is a site for meeting and flirting with like-minded singles in the local area. Additionally, the landing page provided a description of the website that stated users are able to register for free, by which they can obtain unlimited access. For adults who want to have fun conversations and discreetly chat with attractive singles in their area, this site looked promising.

The operator of MyDirtyNeighbour.com is Hellerman Ltd, a company from London, United Kingdom. Though this website seems exciting and reliable at first, our review found that it is likely a fake chat scam. It also contains a possible subscription trap and rip-off. This is based on information we discovered in the Terms & Conditions, as well as our experience through creating an account to test the website.

During our time investigating this site, we found some suspicious text in the terms. Specifically, the part where the operator stated that the website is not intended for facilitating real-life meetings. This is an indication of a fake chat scam. Plus, this website is not free to use as people are led to believe. Each message users send here will cost money, and there is an option to purchase an expensive subscription. We also saw a number of suspicious profiles here. Overall, it’s quite unlikely for anyone to meet someone real here.

Details on the MyDirtyNeighbour.com review

At first glance, MyDirtyNeighbour.com appeared to be a great dating site where users can chat with attractive singles in the local area. However, during our evaluation of the site, we experienced a lot of negativities with this site. We concluded that it is most likely a fake chat scam and a subscription rip-off. There is also a subscription trap here. The operator of this website is Hellerman Ltd, a company based in London, United Kingdom.

Suspicious profiles

The first thing we checked on this website was the Terms & Conditions page. Immediately, we noticed some strange terms referring to “Users” being set apart from “Profiles”. With some further research, we discovered that Users are members who have signed up with an email and password, whereas Profiles are accounts that appear on the website with photos and a username. The weird thing is, the terms stated that the purpose of the website is to allow Users to communicate with Profiles, meaning that these “Profiles” are not necessarily real users.

We also noticed that our test account had received multiple suggestive messages within the first couple of minutes after we entered the site. This was suspicious, as our profile was completely blank, and it would be unusual for several profiles to reach out to us. In our opinion, these accounts were fake, and a majority of the members here were fake chat operators. Also, as we will detail shortly, it costs money to contact other profiles.

From the Terms and Conditions

The Website if offering a communication service with the goal to allow the Users and Premium Members to flirt with the Profiles, against a certain credit for each message. The Website is a platform for Users and Premium Members to communicate with the Profiles and is not intended to be used for physical meetings.

Profile shall mean a profile displayed on www.mydirtyneighbour.com that contains a photo, username and account information of a certain person.

User shall mean a person with a valid username and password for this Website.

Expensive credits and subscription

In addition to the high chance that users will interact with fictional profiles here, MyDirtyNeighbour.com is also quite expensive. Users will have to either purchase a bundle of virtual credits or sign up for a monthly subscription plan if they wish to interact with other members. Since we are quite skeptical of the profiles here being real, this seemed like a rip-off and a scam to us.

Not only is the subscription expensive, but it automatically renews each month if not canceled in time. Though this is not inherently a problem, the Terms & Conditions state that users must cancel their premium membership at least 7 days before their renewal date. We consider this to be risky, as the cancellation process is not explained enough in great detail, and most users would be unaware of the requirements.

From the Terms and Conditions

All paid Membership subscription (Premium Memberships) automatically renew for the period and price that you signed up to. You may cancel the auto-renew feature to avoid recurring charges, but you must act at least 7 days before the next date to avoid renewal.

The conclusion from our MyDirtyNeighbour.com review

Though MyDirtyNeighbour.com advertises itself as a fun and exciting website where users can meet attractive singles within the local area, our review found that it was most likely a fake chat scam and a rip-off. Expensive virtual credits must be purchased and used to send messages. There is also the possibility of a subscription trap. As we noticed a large number of suspicious profiles here, we do not believe there was any chance of meeting someone real here.
