Report for MatchSeeker.net review

MatchSeeker.net claims to be the perfect site for finding hot singles. They claim that users can instantly find their perfect match among thousands of members of the site. It’s free to register, but the account we created for this review turned out to be pretty much useless. We did get a few virtual credits to help us start sending messages. Due to prior experience within the online dating industry, using the credits was enough to get an idea of what the site can offer. The website is managed by an unknown dating service provider called ECHTY.COM, based in Breda, Netherlands.

We also examined the Terms and Conditions in search of problematic paragraphs that would affect users negatively. We discovered that the members’ area was populated by both fake profiles and real ones. However, we had a hard time finding any authentic profiles that belong to women, and it was difficult distinguishing the fictitious ones altogether. From our point of view, this is a setup to scam naive visitors and get as much money as possible from them.

The landing site presents a gorgeous blond woman smiling back at the user. Beside her is the registration form inviting visitors to the site to sign up. We also saw several pictures of supposed members further down, and they’re all suspiciously beautiful. They also offer a contact guarantee, which is an obvious indicator of a rip-off. The platform has a double revenue system consisting of both credit purchases for messaging and a recurring subscription. Either way, this will only prove to be a waste of time and money.

Details on the MatchSeeker.net review

MatchSeeker.net is a dodgy dating platform with a fake chat service that is managed by ECHTY.COM. We don’t have any prior experience with this Dutch company, but this first encounter wasn’t too impressive. While writing this review, we quickly figured out that this wasn’t worth wasting much energy on for any hopeful daters. However, we always make sure we provide evidence to our readers, so keep reading if you want to know more.

Virtual “Matchys”

The portal admits to creating fake accounts. It wants to make users believe there’s some action going down in the chat. The company uses auto-generated operators called “Matchys”. There are supposedly some real people on the portal as well, although we are not so sure. “Matchys” can easily be identified by a logo on the right-hand corner of the profile picture. However, we couldn’t find this logo anywhere, so it seemed to be misleading. No matter how you look at it, it seems that this site is an ill-intended fake chat scam.

The following excerpt was taken from the terms and conditions

The user should take that into account ECHTY.COM offers chats with both real member profiles and fictitious member profiles (called Matchys) on its website. The uses was informed about this when he first visited the website. The Matchys can have fictional conversations, role play or have other fictional communication with the user and other users of the website.

In contrast to real member profiles, no arrangements can be made with fictitious profiles and Matchys. You can identify the Matchys by the logo in the right hand corner of the profile picture in the profile.

Double system

In order to really get something out of the platform, users are strongly encouraged to get a premium membership or purchase a package of credits. Otherwise, they won’t be able to communicate with anyone, real or not. The credits function as virtual currency that can only be spent on the platform. That is how users can send messages, gifts, and photos to other users.

Alternatively, users can sign up for a premium subscription. That way they will have access to other credit packages with different prices. It seems like the membership doesn’t allow users to send unlimited messages. Users will get full access to private photo albums and be able to send gifts and photos, but it doesn’t sound like such a great deal if users still have to buy credits. Either solution is apparently pretty expensive for the user, and they won’t even get to talk to any real people.

The conclusion from our MatchSeeker.net review

MatchSeeker.net is a disappointing online dating service that apparently has thousands of active users at any given time. We can do without this ridiculously pricey rip-off. There are supposed to be both real and fictitious accounts here. However, we had a hard time differentiating between the two, and we don’t even think there are any authentic members. The company responsible for this scam is ECHTY.COM, and they are based in Breda, Netherlands.
