Report for MatchNow.net review

MatchNow.net claims to have thousands of members who are single and looking to meet and have fun conversations. It advertises itself as having easy registration along with a large population of female members, no subscriptions, and guaranteed chats. The main page also states that it offers a private and secure experience. Taking all of that into consideration, it would seem like MatchNow.net is a reputable dating site.

The operator of this site is Flirt Kings, a company from Breda, Netherlands. Though MatchNow.net would give most people a positive first impression, our review found that it is a fake chat scam and rip-off. This is because the site admitted that it contains fictional member profiles, and we do not believe that users are adequately informed of this.

Additionally, MatchNow.net is expensive. Users must purchase a bundle of virtual currency that they can then use to interact with other members. Each message they send here will cost money, and since it’s more than likely that most of the profiles here are fake, users could easily spend large amounts of money to chat with a “fake chat” operator. After having experienced MatchNow.net, we concluded that it is quite unlikely for users to chat with someone genuine here.

Details on the MatchNow.net review

Though we had high hopes for MatchNow.net, our personal experience and research on the website found it to be a fake chat scam and rip-off. In our opinion, this site is a scam because users are not adequately informed that it is full of fictional profiles that are run by fake chat operators. There is a very low chance that genuine users will interact with any other real user here. Also, using this site is quite expensive. For each message users want to send out, they must use virtual credits, which are purchased in advance.

Fake “Chatdreams” profiles

The Terms & Conditions of MatchNow.net states that the purpose of the website is solely for engaging users in entertaining chats by using fake profiles, known as “Chatdreams.” Chatdreams are member profiles that are run by fake chat operators. These operators are either employees of the website or computerized chatting bots. It is, in fact, contrary to what most people would assume based on the homepage of the site.

Since we do not believe that users are well-informed about the true nature of this website, specifically that there are likely no real members here, we consider it to be a scam. The operator states that there is no way to arrange physical meetings with these fake profiles. The operator of this site is Flirt Kings, a company from Breda, the Netherlands.

From the Terms and Conditions

MatchNow is for chat conversations only. These conversations can take place between users and between users and fictional profiles (so-called Chatdreams). These Chatdreams profiles are fictitious. With Chatdreams, extensive online chat conversations and photos can be shared on this website, but physical arrangements are not possible.

Credits are required to exchange messages with fellow users. Furthermore, credits are needed to send fellow users so-called flirts. Credits can be purchased through the website through various payment methods. Subject to the provisions of the other of these general terms of use and conditions and in particular Article 3.6, (1 text message equals 10 credits).

Expensive credits

As we previously mentioned, our review discovered that MatchNow.net is not free to use. Interacting with other members requires users to purchase expensive bundles of virtual credits. These credits can then be used to send messages and reply to chats. Due to each message requiring credits to be sent, users could easily find themselves spending huge amounts of money in just one or two conversations. Considering how most of the profiles here are fictional and run by fake chat operators or bots, this is an expensive rip-off.

The conclusion from our MatchNow.net review

Overall, our experience with investigating MatchNow.net has revealed it to be a fake chat scam and a rip-off. The operator disclosed the fact that this website is not intended to help people find dates. Instead, it is a website for chatting with fictional profiles. Since we do not think users are sufficiently informed about fake profiles, with which they must purchase expensive credits to chat, we consider this a scam.
