Report for HookupsOnline.com review

HookupsOnline.com looks like a very explicit online dating service for people who are looking for casual sex. The platform mainly targets straight males. A brief text next to the registration form encourages visitors to sign up and fulfill their fantasies. The text is intentionally misleading, since this website is simply not designed to make your wet dreams come true.

During the registration process, we saw several warnings. These informed us that this platform hosts virtual profiles, which are created just for entertainment. This is further explained in the Terms and Conditions. Even though the language is a little ambiguous at times, most people should be able to read between the lines. However, the creators of this website know that most people ignore such legal disclaimers.

We spent a lot of time trying to figure out which company is behind this rip-off. We found no information about who they are, or where they are based. This is a major red flag. Particularly because this website offers a subscription-based service with auto-renewals. As we have seen in countless reviews, when you are ready to cancel a membership, it will be a big problem if you cannot contact the operator.

Details on the HookupsOnline.com review

HookupsOnline.com appears to be a sex dating platform for straight males. This is obvious from the landing page, which shows many photos of naked women, who are posing for the viewer. It is extremely explicit. Besides the pictures, we are prompted to sign up. The site claims that it is time for an erotic adventure. We are told this will not be just a fantasy. This is a treacherous way of presenting a fake chat, which cannot deliver a real date. We do not know who created this platform. In our experience, this is a clear indicator of a scam.

Phony membership

The website offers a VIP subscription service. This will supposedly allow us to have spicy chats with the spectacular women in the members’ area. The subscription has a three-month guarantee. If we do not hook up within 3 months after purchasing the membership, we will get our money back. However, we wonder what they really mean by hooking up. Are they referring to finding someone you can talk to online?

After all, the operator explains in the Terms of Use that this is simply an entertainment service, and that real-life meetings should not be expected. All you can find here are fake profiles, which they call “Online Cupids”. Even though these profiles are subtly labeled as such, this nickname will probably go unnoticed if you do not know what to look for.

The following excerpts are taken from the Terms & Conditions

You understand and accept that Our site, while built in the form of a personals service, is an entertainment service. All profiles and communications are provided for the amusement and entertainment of Our members and Our users. You are not guaranteed that You will find a date, a companion, or an activity partner, or that You will meet any of Our members in person.

THIS SITE USES FANTASY PROFILES AND MESSAGES CALLED: ONLINE CUPIDS®”: You understand, acknowledge, and agree that some of the user profiles posted on this site, may be fictitious and operated by the Site or its contractors.

Treacherous offer

The creators have laid out a bunch of different offers. The most tempting one which most new visitors will go for is a one-dollar membership. This lasts for three days. However, all the memberships are subject to automatic renewal, unless they are cancelled before they expire. We were unable to find any effective way of contacting the company. Our experience suggests that this rip-off will undoubtedly be renewed, without the users’ explicit consent.

The conclusion from our HookupsOnline.com review

HookupsOnline.com is a dating scam featuring a fake chat, which is full of virtual profiles. Our review proved that despite the initial impression, it is impossible to find a real date through this platform. The creators have chosen to remain anonymous. Still, they have the nerve to offer a three-month guarantee. In theory, you should be able to get your money back if you do not manage to hook up within three months. But the operator remains anonymous, whereas the subscriptions renew automatically.
