On the face of it, Get-Matched.com is a website which enables users to ‘find their perfect match’ and ‘let the chatting begin.’ However, during our review of this site, we found that the operating company employs fake chat operators within the chat. They claim that these exist to ‘enhance the user’s entertainment experience’ but this is not the case.

After uploading up this site, visitors are greeted with a sleek, professional landing page. There are friendly looking photos of women, and none are suggestive. Users are prompted to sign up using normal details, plus their location. This site claims to offer both the opportunity of an affair, and a more ethical route to forming a connection. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The system is a scam designed to rip-off users.

Operated out of Nicosia, Cyprus, which is a well-known location for scammers, this site is run by Meet Us Media LTD. Beyond the use of fake chat operators, the payment model appears designed to make it necessary to pay to use the site. This dubious strategy adds to the site’s questionable practices. This emphasises the need for extreme caution, and noticing the red flags which are associated with Get-Matched.com.

Get-Matched.com presents itself as a legit opportunity for willing users to meet up with new people or engage in an affair with other users. The website’s landing page appears, to the untrained eye, as professional, and typical of a reputable site. Nevertheless, this is simply not the case. Additionally, the site offers an affiliate scheme. They are paying others to lure more people into their rip-off.

Dangerous bots

As seen from the extract from the Terms and Conditions, Meet Us Media LTD, from Nicosia in Cyprus, state that on their website, there are malicious chatbots. These mimic real humans, to gain information and defraud users. They are not only trying to keep users on the site. Some chatbots will try to scam users into giving them their payment details.

Meet Us Media LTD claims that they take no responsibility for users who give out private information to bots. However, this platform is facilitating this scam, so something does not add up. The operator also states it is not responsible for those who break the Terms and Conditions.

Fake chat operators

Users do not only encounter dangerous chatbots on this site. Get-Matched.com also employs fake chat moderators. Some bots may be from a third party. These deceptive chatbots give the false impression of real profiles. But they are merely operators. They run this website. The aim is to get users to spend as much money as possible. Contrary to the name, there is no genuine opportunity for users to “get matched.” This just further highlights the scam.
