This type of promise seems to work because there are many fake dating websites that use this formula. It is just one of the many similar portals created by Meet Us Media LTD, an operator based in Nicosia, Cyprus. We have had plenty of experience dealing with them and wrote dozens of reviews about this operator, and we always find the same type of platform: A phony dating website with an outrageously expensive fake chat service that is filled with fictitious profiles.

The landing page on Find-Locals.com presents us with photos of extremely attractive women. The layout is easily recognizable to us, particularly the registration form. Supposedly, on this site, users can find both a casual fling and a long-lasting relationship. Users will be able to find a match immediately, which is a bold claim unless the profiles were automated. Users can also mark their favorite profiles with a star and get back to them anytime.

During our review of this website, we created a profile to evaluate it. We also analyzed the Terms of Use in detail. As it turned out, the operator creates fictitious profiles that are possibly operated by chatbots. New users are contacted right away. A new platform member with little to no experience in the online dating world will probably think it’s their lucky day by joining Find-Locals.com. What they don’t realize, is that they may end up wasting a lot of money on a pointless conversation with a bot.

We weren’t too impressed and were expecting the worst from the moment we noticed this was another portal by Meet Us Media LTD. This company from Cyprus is well-known for its shameless rip-offs. They are always careful to give the platform a neat and professional appearance, but that’s as far as their effort goes.

Virtual entertainers

The Terms of Use leave no doubt about the true nature of the platform. However, the operator is fully aware that most people never bother to check out the legal disclaimers. It is only individuals like us, who try to warn innocent users.

We discovered that the fake chat service is operated by fantasy characters, which the site calls “System profiles.” They do their best to seduce newcomers, so they get tempted to pay for the chat feature. However, finding a date here is completely impossible. Users won’t be satisfied even if they were ok with some virtual fun. The fake profiles try to keep users interested, but it never results in anything more than virtual entertainment.

These coins are a virtual currency that can only be spent on the platform. This is the only means of payment accepted to send messages.

Users can’t just buy the amount necessary for sending one message at a time, for they must buy a package. That way, when users realize this is a rip-off, it’s already done. They may be able to cancel their account, but they won’t be getting their money back for the virtual coins they haven’t spent. At least, this purchase doesn’t entail recurring charges as many similar scams do.
