Most of those profiles sent icebreaker messages, and it was difficult to determine whether we were interacting with an individual or some sort of automated feature.

The platform has a feature called “Icebreaker.” Through this feature, premium members can have the platform send messages, friend requests, and gifts on their behalf without them directly carrying out these actions. However, the recipient will not know that the actions are not coming from the actual user but rather from the icebreaker feature. The recipient will, therefore, end up replying to a message that originated from an automated feature

User privacy concerns

Cargo Media AG acknowledges collecting tons of information from users. The platform collects information when users create accounts or add personal information to their profiles. Any posted photos, information, or communication through chats are also gathered by Cargo Media AG. In addition, the platform uses cookies to automatically collect information like the user’s IP address, browser type, and device type.

This information may be shared with third parties, like SSL providers, communication service providers, and other parties.
