Report for JHLive.com review

JHLive.com claims to be the best dating portal for gays who want to meet singles living nearby and available for exciting experiences and hot adventures. What’s even better is the fact that the platform advertises free registration, and people are led to believe that the entire platform requires no payment.

But our review will reveal that this is just misleading information. First of all, JHLive.com is not free at all, and, even worse, the subscriptions are a rip-off since they renew automatically and are impossible to cancel. The mind behind this scam is Apricot Digitals LTD, based in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is the first time we have encountered this operator.

Details on the JHLive.com review

The landing page of JHLive.com has a familiar design that resembles the format of many dating websites run by another company we know very well. We immediately suspected that Apricot Digitals LTD, which is located in Sofia, Bulgaria, is actually the same operator about which we have written many reviews previously. They have probably had to change their name in an attempt to hide the nasty reputation they have acquired through their multiple scams.

And in fact all the features, services and contents are exactly the same as we are accustomed to, and it didn’t take long before we detected the usual red flags that signal something dodgy is going on. Contrary to what is stated on the landing page, JHLive.com is not free. As soon as a user gets access to the members’ area, he realizes a subscription is needed to get in touch with other profiles. But this is a trap, and here is why.

Subscriptions impossible to cancel

When we try to send a message, we are immediately directed to a page with payment options. Prices are quite fair, and the temptation for a new user to sign up for VIP membership would be considerable. A few $ every month looks like a good deal if this will lead to casual encounters.

Occasionally some social offers are available, such as 1- or 3-day trials which are sold at a bargain price. The problem is that they are subject to automatic renewal and become a monthly subscription that costs a lot more. To avoid recurrent billing, a user has to send a cancellation request.

This is a subscription rip-off because it’s not possible to meet the requirements set out in the Terms and Conditions, where it’s stated that 72 hours’ notice is needed to terminate the contract. As a result, anyone who decides to sign up for the trial period stands no any chance of cancelling it before it renews.

The conclusion from our JHLive.com review

JHLive.com promises hot experiences, but our research has proved that this is just another untrustworthy dating platform. Contrary to what a user reads on the homepage, the portal is not free. But the subscription is a trap that binds the victim of the scam to a contract that cannot be canceled in time to avoid renewal.
