Report for iWantU.com review
iWantU.com advertises with the promise that you can find your match here in no time. But we did some research on the internet and found out that this site has got a bad reputation. Former customers speak of a fake chat which is used to scam the users with a subscription trap.
The operator of the site iWantU, is in the hotspot for companies that lure its members into an expensive trap. A paid membership will extend automatically if it is not cancelled in time. After the registration, a trial membership will be offered which does not allow a cancelation within the deadline. In general, any costs are too high as it seems like it is not possible to find a real person here.

Details on the iWantU.com review
We found out that this site advertises with misleading information just to lure more and more people into a cheeky rip-off. The registration is for free but not the use of the portal. Costs will appear right after the registration for an expensive premium-membership. That paid membership is needed to start a chat or to answer to messages that come from other profiles.
Here we come the first part of the scam. Right after the registration, a new member will receive many messages from other members, which all seem to be a fake. A fake chat is not mentioned in the terms and conditions, but many former customers mention that it exists. According to the information that we found the members’ pool is filled with fake profiles.
Those fake profiles are operated by fake operators that entice the new user with many messages to get a paid membership. That makes the paid membership worthless because as we see it, it is not possible to find one real person here.
A termination in time is not possible
A normal subscription seems to be quite expensive according to the information on the web. The operator of the site has got another trick to entice the user to get a subscription. A cheap trial membership if offered which will run for three days. But the information given by former customers says that a cancelation in time is not possible. It is a trap which is also mentioned in the terms and conditions.
There, it is noted that a membership must be terminated at least 72 hours before the subscription runs out. That is impossible because a trial membership runs for three days. Then it will extend automatically, which is usually nothing bad, but in this case, it is part of a scam. The operator of the site is iWantU, which is in a hotspot for operators that lure users into a subscription trap. This location is Tortola on the British Virgin Islands.
The conclusion from our iWantU.com review
iWantU.com is a scam with a subscription trap and seems to use fake profiles. A fake chat is not mentioned in the terms and conditions, but it is mentioned by many former customers of the site. They will entice the user to get a normal subscription or a trial membership both of which will extend automatically. A cancelation by the deadline of the trial membership is not possible, so it will end in a trap.

I started a 3 day trial period over the holiday period with flirt.com. They clearly stated how easy is was to cancel my subscription using the site. During the trial they subscribed me to an adjacent site, iwantu.com which was obviously a different iteration of the same site with the UI being identical. Same potential dating partners too, mostly scammers or bots. Some genuine people to be fair. Before the end of my trial period I unsubscribed using the instructions on the site. Since they had my Debit card details I also unsubscribed via email, just to be sure. If I'd been unsuccessful money would have been taken from my account at the rollover time, at the end of the trial. This didn't happen so I was satisfied that I was unsubscribed. Between 4am and 5:30am this morning, Sunday 11/01/2026 NZ time, they took almost $200 from my debit card. Over three payments, the first at $35.80 followed by two at $71.61. I never agreed to make these payments and was given no noticed of them prior to the money being taken. My bank can't recover this money and I've requested a refund but I don't expect to receive it. I had to cancel my debit card as the only way to prevent more illicit transfers. This is a great inconvenience as I do a lot of business online. I'll get a temporary card until my new one arrives, then I have to change my card details on many legitimate sites I use, mostly to buy items not dating. I'll never use a dating site again. I think I'm being generous when I describe this company's business practice as predatory. I suspect that they expect to get away with this practice due to intimate details extracted from people while using these sites. I don't care about that at all. I do want to help prevent other people from suffering the same fate. While I think about the things I could have bought with the money they stole I plan to contact sites like yours and explain my awful experience with these sites, Flirt.com and Iwantu.com. There may be a third. I'm willing to provide more detail if required in informing people about the true nature of this business.
Signed up for a brief use (1 week) while in Europe. 6 months later I have 3 deductions coming out of my card. Every time I source the website a discount warning pops up. Not sure where to go?
