The online dating website FlirtLocal.com looks very promising. On the landing page we see many profile pictures. That gives us the impression that the members´ pool is crowded with potential matches. In general, the profile pictures show a lot of naked skin. That gives us the impression that the users of this site are open-minded. Plus, the operator claims that it is easy as pie to find a date via this portal. That sounds very convincing and the only thing to do to enjoy all of that is to register. The process of registration is simple, and it will not take too long. In just a few minutes the user profile is filled with all the required information to get started.

This site uses fictional profiles

FlirtLocal.com may show many profile pictures on the landing page. But it is not clear if all of them are real. On the landing page we read the information that this site uses fictional profiles. To be informed is a good thing. However, on the one hand the website promises hot dates in no time. On the other hand, the operator of the sites uses fake profiles that are controlled by operators. In the end, we are sure that this site is a scam with a fake chat. We also did some research about the site and its operator. We found plenty of negative reports. It turns out that we are not the only ones who are convinced that this site is a scam. The operator of the site advertises with misleading information. It is not possible to find a date here.

Chat bots for entertainment

The operator of the site, High Knight Limited which is located in Nicosia, Cyprus uses fake profiles. Those fake profiles are operated by chat bots. So, any conversation on this site will be with a fictional person. Moreover, the chat partners are not real. It is not possible to meet another person from this site. The chat bots will automatically send messages to a new user. This way a new member will be persuaded to pay for a premium-membership. Costs will occur for a subscription which will extend automatically. The paid membership seems to be quite expensive. Of course, it will not be worth the money as any chat partner on this site is a fake profile.

The fake chat is mentioned in the terms and conditions

In order to enhance your amusement experience, to stimulate you and others to use our Services more extensively, and to generally sprinkle some sparkle and excitement into the Services of FLIRTLOCAL.COM, we may post fictitious profiles, generate or respond to communications by means of automated programs or scripts that simulate or attempt to simulate your intercommunication with another real human being”

Those messages constantly entice the user to get a premium-membership. But, those messages do not contain information about the moderated chat. That makes it a fake chat scam. Also, a fake profile is not marked as such. So, the user does not know about the fake chat and assumes that the profiles are real people. Besides that, the subscription will extend automatically which could end in an expensive trap.

We did some research on the internet. We found many negative reports about the site. Former customers complain about the fake chat. According to that information, it is not possible to find a real person here. Some former users mentioned a subscription trap. An automatic renewal does not have to be bad in general. But in this case, it might be used as a trap.
