At first glance, the site appears to be an excellent social network. Here, people can interact and establish genuine connections. However, we had to research further, to determine if it was legit, or a scam. We could not find information about who owns and operates DeLaChat. Details on the DeLaChat.com review
DeLaChat.com is a platform for individuals who are looking for online chat partners. Registration is free, but users must purchase a virtual currency to send messages and gifts. The site also boasts of being an international online community worth joining. But DeLaChat is managed by an anonymous operator, with no physical address.
The platform also has other hidden details in the Terms of Use. For instance, they admit to using chat moderators to engage users. According to them, Content Makers enhance the user experience and make the portal more interactive. But we believe this is a deceptive strategy to mislead clients. This is a money-making scheme designed to scam users through a fake chat service.
Use of chat moderators
The company that claims this platform connects people who are looking for online chats with other members. It even offers free registration and 20 free credits to new members, when they join the website. In fact, users sign up to engage with fake chat moderators. The operator identifies them as “Content Makers” who are registered through a separate process. They can make use of some of the platform’s extra features. Most users frequently overlook such details because they do not review the Terms of Use.
This is how most scam online dating sites operate. They deceive users into thinking that the platform has many active users. However, they are usually fake chat moderators who are employed to engage users and lure them into becoming premium members. This is a pay-to-play platform where users must delve into their wallets to access additional features.
Excerpt from the Terms & Conditions (as of 06/01/2024)
There is another category of users (the “Content Maker”) who are referred to us by our third-party contractors (the “Affiliate Partners”). They are registered under a separate procedure. Content Makers are entitled to use certain additional features as specified in this Agreement. Content Makers enjoy different legal treatment and have additional regulations regarding their relations with the website. Due to this, Content Makers may use the website free of charge. However, they have other obligations and limitations on the use of the website.
Data privacy concerns
Our review revealed that this website works with affiliate partners. This is a considerable risk to users. They allow these partners to market their services, including posting their website links, on this platform. Users adding their data to this website risk a lot in terms of cyberbullying and online scams. Allowing third parties on the platform, and avoiding responsibility for their actions, risks members’ data security. This exposes users to online scams on this platform, and other websites.
The conclusion from our DeLaChat.com review
DeLaChat.com is a website for people who are interested in online chats with like-minded individuals. However, it is a scam with a fake chat service. Apart from being managed by a phony operator, the site has many fake profiles, which are disguised as Content Makers. They are employed to engage members and lure them into using the paid features. Data security is also an issue, because of suspicious third parties, who are also on this platform. This website is unsafe to use. It is a rip-off to be avoided.

The promotionals take on many forms including appealing to seniors.but there are no seniors posted. There are many red flags that confirm this is a fake operation geared to seduce you into spending a fortune. -The pics post as 60-70 retired women who look like 30 something fashion models. They are usually from a distant land. Get real are you going to fly across the ocean for a date? - in just 2-3 notes they are either in love with you or making provocative teases to be intimate. It’s all part of the scheme to keep you engaged & spend $$ to sustain your fantasy that you are suddenly a rockstar among drop dead gorgeous women. - it’s like sitting in a casino with dazzling lights & ringing bells & signs promising millions in winnings. They let you win enough to believe you’re gonna win, but take more than you are gambling. - the more you spend the more you will be inundated with unsolicited invitations from Zanzibar to Brazil. You get charged to open the enticing invite , charged to look at the pics & charged to reply. It’s all generated by algorithms , not personal interest. The models aren’t real & don’t exist. Your credit charges are very real. -responses are robotic out of sync with your questions & their posted profession . Eg an MD or lawyer who can’t write coherent sentences is a clue these are fake - most compelling proof- I deleted my profile & pic & posted a pic of my dog with his name instead of mine.- I’m still getting messages that they love my profile! Really ??? Wake up & run to the nearest exit. This is a scam.
