More than 40 million people around the world use Yubo.live and the communities are made up of young members between the ages 13 and 25 years, even the website and app are recommended for people + 17. Children under 13 years are prohibited from signing up, but many concerned parents complain that it is easy for young teens to bypass this just by lying about their age. We do deeper research and find multiple reviews and reports from people warning about the online portal Yubo.live because of the very high risk of predators in the member’s area.

Excerpt from the Terms & Conditions (as of 23/08/2021)

This is essentially a dating app for kids. My 13-year-old daughter was able to contact older men who were asking her for her phone number and explicit pictures. Never let your child use this app!

This app is awful, this app was designed for Teens to make new friends but is being used as a hook up site.. It screams DANGER.. This app allows nudes to be sent, allows location to be viewed… You have no idea who you are really talking to. Scary and awful.

The operator behind Yubo.live

Yubo.live has originally started as a French site with the name Yellow. The service was founded in 2015 as a web portal, but a year later, Yubo.live released an application as well. The developer and operator are a company called Twelve APP located in Paris, France. We do not have any experience with this company and could not find any negative reviews about them. Some users also blame Yubo.live for having a lot of scam profiles, but we could not find any proof of it.

From our experience, we think it is almost impossible to take into consideration the safety measurements the portal offers. Additionally, the company encourages users to verify their profile with the Yoti application. In the community guideline of the website is written not to post faked pictures, not to pretend to be someone else and not to lie about age. It seems many users violate the last rule.

The conclusion from our Yubo.live review

After a thorough review of the online platform Yubo.live, many people also call it “Tinder for Teens”, we could not find any proof of a scam. Yes, we find some bad comments or reviews on the Internet about bad situations, which happened with minors using this platform or application. But from our general experience, the website is not a rip-off.
