Report on WivesGoWild.com review

At first sight, WivesGoWild.com looks like an ordinary dating website catering to those who specifically want to date married women. However, the landing page is very basic and similar in its layout to other scam sites we have reviewed in the past. Although there is a lot to read on it, the landing page provides no useful information about the services it provides. To find out what we were up against, we decided to test the site thoroughly by creating a free profile, carefully reading the TOS and searching online for former users’ reviews.

In our experience, WivesGoWild.com conceals a subscription rip-off which is virtually impossible to terminate. Indeed, users cannot do anything on this platform without a paid subscription, which will be automatically and indefinitely renewed unless cancelled in time. And given the number of online reports we found which all indicated a scam, we have every reason to believe cancellation requests are ignored almost systematically.

Furthermore, the members’ area is full of fake profiles created by site moderators and controlled by chatbots whose only purpose is to lure users into paid services. As a result, the chances of finding a real date here are zero. The site is run by InfraWeb Solution LTD, a company based in Hong-Kong which seems to use the same tricks on all the various rip-off sites it operates.

Is WivesGoWild.com a rip-off?

WivesGoWild.com is indeed a subscription rip-off. Premium membership is required to use this platform. In practice, this proves almost impossible to terminate. The website provides absolutely no service to members. All it seeks to do is lure users into the money trap of automatically renewed subscriptions.

When we entered the members’ area, we had already received several chat messages, even though our test profile did not contain a photo. This is clear evidence that everything on this platform is fake, right down to the chat window, which is actually no more than an image link that redirected us to the payment page when we tried to reply.

In fact, we soon realized that we could not do anything on this platform unless we subscribed to one of the versions of premium membership on offer. All the profiles are fake and host no real members. They are created by moderators to make the platform look vibrant and buzzing with activity. In reality, these fictitious profiles are mostly controlled by chatbots that approach new users with enticing chat messages in the hope that some will then take the bait.

Registration on WivesGoWild.com

WivesGoWild.com’s advertising offers free registration, but there is not much users can do with this afterwards. Registering could not be easier: we were only asked to provide a nickname, password and valid email address. A few minutes later, we received an email with a verification link, and we thus gained access to the members’ area. We were then asked to provide a profile picture, but this step can easily be skipped.

Members’ area on WivesGoWild.com

Our first impression is that there seem to be a lot of online members, but it is all for show: there are actually no real members here. As soon as we tried to click on profiles or anything else on this page, all it did was redirect us to the payment page. In the meantime, we kept receiving chat messages we could not even read due to the limitations of our free account.

Reading the TOS, we found written evidence that these messages are not from real people, but computer-generated. According to the site operator, they are merely intended to “stimulate interaction between members” under a rubric the site calls “Promote my account”. In our experience, this is a de facto acknowledgment that every interaction is fake and simply designed to push users towards paid services.

Terms and conditions of WivesGoWild.com

Extract from the terms and conditions from the WivesGoWild.com website. Current status of the terms and conditions as of May 28, 2021.

We may from time to time offer users the ability to "Promote My Account" through Account Settings. Activating this service will mean that we will automatically broadcast custom messages created by any user, or selected from a default list of template messages, to other users. We reserve the right to select members to use the Promote My Account service. Sending of messages through this service will be free, however, recipients who view and choose to reply to a Promote My Account message, will require to have an upgraded Paid Membership in order to reply to the sender.

Costs on WivesGoWild.com

While WivesGoWild.com offers free registration in its advertising, it soon becomes clear that paid membership is required to do almost anything on this platform. Premium membership options start at $0.99 for one day, which seems a pretty good deal and certainly the option most new users will choose, as it does not seem too risky.

However, this is precisely where the scam lies, since it is stated in the TOS that all forms of membership must be cancelled at least 72h prior to their renewal dates in order to avoid recurring charges. In the case of trial membership, it is simply not physically possible to do this, and this option then turns into a much more expensive form of monthly membership at $38.59. Users are now trapped in a long and expensive subscription they cannot get out of.

Conclusion from our WivesGoWild.com experience

Our review of WivesGoWild.com revealed that everything is fake on this platform. We know the site operator very well from the numerous similar rip-offs it runs on other websites. InfraWeb Solution LTD, a Hong-Kong based company, creates fake profiles to “entertain” users, or rather scam them into subscribing to costly forms of premium membership that will be extended automatically and are known to be very difficult to terminate.

Furthermore, we found countless reports online from past users that all point to a scam. Not a single one of these was able to find a real date on this platform, since the members’ area only contains fake profiles controlled by bots, and all lost a lot of money in this experience.
