Report for TheCasualArcade.com.au review

TheCasualArcade.com.au is a dating website that doesn’t reveal much information on its landing page. In fact, all we see is a picture of a blond lady laying down in a suggestive manner while in her underwear and heels. Next to the lady is a question asking us what our gender is. In order to make this online review, we rolled up our sleeves and delved deeper into this dating portal, which at first glance seemed to be for users interested in one-night stands.

After signing up for an account and purposely leaving out personal info, we suddenly received a lot of attention from other users. That is one of the most compelling reasons that led us to believe that we were using a fake chat service. Our suspicions were confirmed after reading the Terms & Conditions. We also found the name and location of the company; Alpha Internet Services GmbH, based in Innsbruck, Austria.

Furthermore, TheCasualArcade.com.au is a subscription rip off with a goal of tricking people into paying for memberships that will automatically renew. Just because the registration is free, doesn’t mean everything else about the site is. All profile pictures and messages are blurred unless users pay to see them by entering their credit card details. A lot of messages are sent to users who think the messages are real, so they will quickly pay to see the messages. However, the messages don’t come from genuine users, so users are charged for talking to fake users, which is an obvious scam.

Details on the TheCasualArcade.com.au review

Due to our experience on reviewing dating sites, we know that TheCasualArcade.com.au is a dating platform that puts in a lot of effort to rip off users. Firstly, it makes users believe their profile is appealing to other real members, even though they are not. Face-to-face meetings will never take place. Secondly, by denying access to other member’s information, like profile photos or messages without paying to see them, is a clear indication of a scam.

Fake Chat Scam

After our research of TheCasualArcade.com.au, we have little expectations about this dating site, especially because the chances of meeting real users are far from being realistic.

After creating our own account, we started receiving messages and getting unusual visits to our boring account. All of that made us believe that profiles were fake. Our suspicions were confirmed when we read the Terms & Conditions of TheCasualArcade.com.au. It mentioned that encounters with the so-called “animators” won’t be possible in person. Oddly enough, they even say that they are “real people,” which led us to think that actual agents run the fake accounts. They probably work for the company behind the curtain, Alpha Internet Services GmbH, based in Innsbruck, Austria.

Excerpt from the Terms & Conditions (as of 15/03/2023)

The user/member is also aware that THECASUALARCADE uses so-called animators to motivate users/members to communicate interactively. These are real people. However, the user / member is aware that he cannot meet the animators in real life.

Become a Member to See Pictures and Messages

There is no point to offering free registration if users can’t see photos or messages. It’s such a disappointment that not only kills the initial joy of the dating experience, but also makes users hate dating sites. If users were to click on “read message now,” they will be led to a new page showing the different membership packages. It goes without saying that typing our credit card details wouldn’t be a wise thing to in this situation. No matter how you look at it, this dating service is a scam.

The company behind this portal tries different tactics to trick people into paying. Firstly, the legal section says that trial memberships will automatically extend and charge users for the next 3 months at the least. This calls for caution. Secondly, the cancellation process mentions that users’ basic memberships can be canceled easily, while subscribers will have difficulty putting an end to their subscription. There is a long notice period, depending on the chosen subscription package.

The conclusion from our TheCasualArcade.com.au review

In a nutshell, we wouldn’t recommend TheCasualArcade.com.au to anyone looking for a real online dating experience. This platform tries to rip off users by hiding other members’ personal information unless users purchase a subscription to access them. Subscriptions are difficult to cancel, and fake profiles are run by operators. Steamy encounters with compatible sexual partners will never happen on this site. Instead, users will probably end up with empty pockets and low morale, and a deep form of regret.
