According to the landing page, this is where our dream girl is waiting for us. Other than this claim, we couldn’t learn much of anything else about the site. At least not just by looking at the landing page. Further investigation was required.

Every once in a while, we discover a new dating site that is run by this company from the Mediterranean island. We quickly came to the realization that SeduceYou.com is just a rip-off. The many beautiful female members were fictitious. By chatting with them, users are not exchanging messages with a real person. These fictitious profiles can send template messages to provide other users with seductive messages. Unfortunately, a free membership doesn’t allow users to use the chat. Oblivious users are tricked into signing up for a paid subscription.

The seemingly safer choice is the trial membership, which happens to be very cheap. There is however a problem: If you don’t cancel the trial membership within 24 hours, it converts into a monthly subscription. That means that SeduceYou.com is not only a fake chat scam, but also a subscription rip-off.

You can sign up for free, and it doesn’t take more than two minutes to create an account. While creating our own profile, we were asked to fill out a form. In this form we entered our gender, age and our current location. Afterwards, we had to agree to have read the terms and conditions and enter a valid email address. So far nothing seemed unusual to us at the time.

Just a few moments after filling in our information, we received an activation mail. It came with a link that we could use to activate our profile and officially complete our registration. Interestingly enough, we could still use SeduceYou.com without having to activate our profile. Normally, this shouldn’t be the case. This is where we started questioning the site’s legitimacy.

Clicking on “Search” got us to the members’ area. By using several search filters, we were able to find just the right members. We could also search for online members or members who have just signed up as well. Later we were able to sort the search results by age, distance or even popularity. In the next step we were given the options to like a member or send a chat message to him/her.

At this point, we were unable to send any messages and were required to purchase a subscription before moving forward. All of a sudden, several female members started to visit our profile. They flirted with us and tried starting a conversation. In reality, we were dealing with bots that had sent us generated messages.  Normally, users may not be aware that they are dealing with bots.  We on the other hand, knew that this was done to lure us into a paid subscription. The operator made sure to equip fake profile photos of beautiful women in order to attract men.

We couldn’t even view some of the messages in our inbox. It turned out that if users don’t upgrade their membership within the next 24 hours, messages that were received will be gone forever. This is a cheap trick to entice users to purchase a subscription as soon as possible. SeduceYou.com is a fake chat scam and works exactly like most other scam dating sites that we have reviewed so far.

There is another membership option that costs 0.99 USD and lasts for one day. This trial membership is a cheap way of getting to know the advantages of the full membership better. You have to keep in mind that this trial membership is part of a subscription as well. It converts into a monthly subscription at a price of 59.97 USD per month. This is far too much money. You need to submit a cancellation before the trial period is over. This significant detail is hidden quite well, thus users end up paying for the monthly subscription.

At first, SeduceYou.com appeared to be a fun dating site with an active community. After doing enough research, we now know better. The many good-looking members don’t exist in real life. They are fictitious and part of a fake chat scam. The dating service has implemented a tool to bring them to life. By sending template messages, they advertise for the paid subscription.

The trial membership seems to be the cheapest option out there. It is indeed very cheap. However, the problem is that it’s used to lure users into a subscription trap.
