We know that we should not judge a book by its cover. Therefore, after seeing the poorly designed landing page of PolyamorousDating.com, we still decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, our first impression was right. This site is not attractive nor interesting. Even worse, it is a fake chat scam, and a subscription rip-off.

The site is operated by Dating Media Group for the United States, and by ODS Online Dating Systems LTD for other countries. The companies are based in the United States and Cyprus, respectively. Both companies are well-known for using all kinds of tricks and traps on their dating platforms.

PolyamorousDating.com is another scam from the operators Dating Media Group / ODS Online Dating Systems LTD. We know these two companies quite well. In fact, they run several dating platforms. According to our experience from previous reviews, most of their platforms are fake chat scams and subscriptions rip-offs. This is also our opinion of this site. During this review, we found that the platform is not only a fake chat scam, but also a very dangerous subscription rip-off.

Fake chat

After registering, we immediately received several messages. Our chat window was full of messages from different profiles, within just seconds. However, we could not read them. Every attempt to open one of the messages ended up on a payment platform. According to our experience, receiving so many suspicious messages right after registering, is clear evidence of a fake chat scam. Furthermore, we have always found this scam in our previous reviews about other platforms run by this operator.

More than just a subscription rip-off

Users who subscribe to the website must pay 25 USD per month. This price can be considered an average price for a subscription to an online dating platform. However, the operator of the site makes sure that customers will end up paying a lot more than this. After selecting the membership package, the users must complete a short form, with their personal data, and their credit card details. If they are not extremely careful, by confirming this step, they will be subscribing to two additional services.

The first service is called “Local Match” and has a price of 30 USD per month. The second service, “Love Spiritually” will cost 29 USD per month. So, in total, the users will subscribe to 3 different services at a cost of almost 90 USD. This is one of the trickiest subscription rip-offs that we have seen so far. Furthermore, once the customer decides to terminate the subscriptions, they will find out that each subscription should be canceled separately. The process will certainly be stressful and frustrating.

After seeing the poor design of PolyamorousDating.com and finding out the name of the operator running the site, we did not have high expectations about this dating website.
