Report for OneDate.com review

OneDate.com is an international dating site that comes with a free and easy registration. Other than the registration, nothing else can be done for free on this site. Only after upgrading the membership can members of OneDate.com interact with other members by using the chat. The 3-day trial is the shortest and cheapest option, but it is not easy to cancel.

The subscription trap is not the only thing that concerns about this site. The operator admits to creating fake profiles to get in touch with the real users. This is done to make sure that the users are willing to pay for their expensive membership. The company behind this fake chat scam is Skib Sagl, who are based in Manno, in Swizerland.

Details on the OneDate.com review

OneDate.com is available in many different languages and seemingly attracts people from all around the world. A counter on the front page also lets us know that more than 23 million members have joined the site already. This number seems far too high, especially since OneDate.com has only received several reviews online. The high number of members is made up, and so are most of the profiles in the members’ area. This site is a fake chat scam.

Cancellation struggles

During our research, we try to find out what other people think about what this site has to offer. Several users accuse the operator of stealing their money. On this site a paid membership is needed for basically everything, including chatting. There is a 3-day trial, which turns into a paid subscription if not cancelled in time. This information is supposed to remain a secret, so the users pay more money than they ever intended to. Some users also report that they were unable to log in after purchasing the trial and could not cancel in time.

Nothing but fake members

To make the subscription rip-off even more successful, fake profiles are used to advertise the paid memberships. They are created by the company in charge of the site and entertain the users in the chat. You cannot date these fake members in real life, which is why their existence must be kept secret. Apparently, fake chat operators controlling these profiles are the people who are really chatting with you here. There is a statement in the terms and conditions which reveals everything.

Excerpt from the Terms & Conditions (as of 02/08/2021)

The portal may contain fake profiles created and controlled by the website with which it is not possible to arrange real encounters. The reason for such profiles being on the portal is therefore that of entertaining the user for promotional purposes and other reasons.

Our experience with Skib Sagl

Skib Sagl is the company running this site. Not too long ago, we published a review for LetsDineTogether.com, which also turned out to be a disappointing dating site. This company, who are based in Manno, Switzerland, operates a network of scam dating sites.

The conclusion from our OneDate.com review

OneDate.com is a rip-off which is based on the use of fictive profiles. The operator does not only create these profiles to make up for the lack of members, but also to successfully seduce the users in the chat. Sending a chat message comes at a price. By providing the users with charming messages, the fake chat operators behind these fictive profiles make sure that the users are willing to pay.
