Anyone looking for casual sex encounters may think this is a great opportunity, especially since they advertise that no credit card is necessary to register. An added plus is that all members seem to be very attractive. The landing page offers very little additional information about costs. Anyone may think that the service is free of charge. However, we have previous experience with the operator, White Mountain Online Solutions BV, who are based in Krimpen aan den IJssel, in The Netherlands. We have written several reviews about their fake chat scams.

Upon closer inspection, we read at the bottom of the page, that the site is solely for pleasure and entertainment purposes. Furthermore, they admit to using fictional profiles, and inform the user that these are clearly marked with a heart. We do not appreciate the fact that the warning is hidden in a footnote, but it is better than nothing. Marked fictional profiles are the exception when it comes to dating sites, so we are pleasantly surprised. Even more so, when a pop-up box reminds us again of these fake characters, while creating a profile for our research.

However, as soon as we sign up, we start getting bombarded with messages. This can only come from fictional profiles, because the one we created is completely empty. It should not be getting any attention at all. We can confirm that those profiles are clearly marked, as promised. But we see hearts here and there, in several places on this website. When we read the terms and conditions, it turns out that virtually all profiles are fake. This explains why we saw hearts on every single one of them.

High costs, meaningless chats

Yes, registration and creating a profile is indeed free of charge. We can also read the messages which are sent to the minimalistic profile that we created for this review. However, to access any other functionalities, it is necessary to purchase credits. One credit equals one message, and these are sold in different packages. One single message can cost up to almost 3 USD. This payment system is very lucrative for the company, since a short chat can quickly become extremely expensive.

Despite the warning, a trusting user may not be able to recognize that all the profiles are fictional, because the wording on the platform is misleading. This is where the scam lies. The member is led to believe that they will be able to identify the authentic profiles, but none of them are. Someone may think they can outsmart the system. Despite our experience with cheeky operators, we had to question if this was indeed a rip-off or not. It was unclear which profiles were marked, since all of them had hearts on them, which seemed to be part of the page structure. We consider this to be purposefully misleading.
