Introduction
La-Date.com advertises itself as a platform where users can meet like-minded individuals. The landing page design is simple but still attractive. The site doesn’t charge users to create an account on the platform. The registration process is also fast and easy. New users receive 30 free credits to test out the site’s features.
Despite these advantages, it’s costly to use this platform to chat. Sending messages or media costs a considerable number of credits. The subscription option renews automatically, unless canceled. Moreover, the site isn’t accessible to people in certain jurisdictions, and there’s no strict profile verification process in place.

Usability and design
First impression
I liked the fact that the platform promotes itself as a place where users can find new acquaintances and expand their horizons. The operator also chose to keep the landing page design simple and didn’t overwhelm visitors with too much information, which I think is a good thing. The promise of protective, responsive customer service, and a community that operates by the platform’s rules are also very good selling points. At first glance, I thought the site was worth giving a try.
Navigation
Although the platform doesn’t have an app, I didn’t encounter any difficulties accessing the site on a web browser. The registration link is visible on the landing page, and users won’t experience any issues filling out the required details. Once on your account, the site was easy to navigate. All the features were well-organized, making them easy to locate.
I didn’t experience any difficulties switching from one feature to another. The features are similar to what you would find on most dating sites, which means even new users will probably have an easy time on this site.
Registration process
Users are free to join the platform by providing the personal details the site requests. Those registering for an account with the platform are required to provide their gender, name, date of birth, email address and password, and to agree to the Terms of Use. By registering for an account, you confirm that you’re at least 18 years of age or have attained the age of majority in your jurisdiction. There’s no strict profile verification, which means some users could provide false details. New users get 30 free credits to get them started on the platform.

Functions and tools
Main functions
“Search,” “Messages,” “Mailbox,” and Newsfeed” are the main features on this platform. With the “Search” feature, you can filter profiles by location, age, or gender. The “Messages” feature allows users to send short messages and attach images or videos, while the “Mailbox” feature allows for relatively longer messages but no media. Using the “Newsfeed” feature, users can make public posts, including photos, as well as view and like posts made by other members. You have to follow members to ensure that their posts consistently appear in your feed.
Communication tools
“Messages “and “Mailbox” are the primary features that users can use to communicate on this site. The “Messages” feature especially, comes with multiple communication tools. For instance, you can send texts and include emojis, as well as attach videos and photos to your chats. You can also send gifts and stickers. There are ready-made icebreakers you can use to initiate conversations if you’re finding it hard to craft a message.
It’s also possible to communicate using the “Mailbox” if you want to send longer messages. The “Mailbox” feature allows up to 3500 characters per text, compared to the 300 characters available in the “Messages” feature. It’s also possible to send “Winks” and “Likes” to express interest in other members.
Special features
I didn’t find any special features when reviewing this platform.
Security and data protection

On their part, the platform operator applies the best available practices that concern the encryption and security of data. The operator may also inform relevant law enforcement and national security agencies if they detect any unauthorized access or disclosure of classified information by a user on the website.

Demography
The platform advertises itself as targeting users looking to make new acquaintances and expand their horizons. According to the Privacy Policy, the operator may block IP addresses from jurisdictions such as those listed as being subject to sanctions by the UN Security Council, as well as those on the OFAC Sanctions List.
Therefore, this platform may not be accessible to all users globally. You can find a comprehensive list of countries that may not be allowed access to the platform in the Privacy Policy. In jurisdictions where access is permitted, users are required to be at least 18 years of age. The site is also open to people of all sexual orientations.
Matchmaking algorithm
Users can contact and make acquaintances with other members using the available communication tools like “Messages” and “Mailbox.” Members who respond to your texts are likely to have a mutual interest in getting to know you. To find profiles that match your desired interests, you can use the search filters to find suggestions for new matches in the member area.
Costs and price-performance ratio
Free vs. paid functions
The platform doesn’t charge users to register. You can also search profiles, view incoming messages, access the newsfeed, “Like” profiles, send “Winks”, and follow members for free. In addition, no fees are necessary to view public photos. However, you’ll need credits to respond to mails, message in chats, reply with stickers, and view profile videos. You will also require credits to share media in the chat and send virtual gifts.
The credits per service are as follows:
- Live chats cost 2 credits per minute, while stickers in chats cost 5 credits.
- Sending photos and opening audio in the chat each cost 10 credits.
- It costs 50 credits to open videos in the chat.
- It costs 50 credits to open exclusive posts.
- The first mail to a particular member costs 10 credits. Subsequent mail costs 30 credits.
- There’s no charge to open the first mail. It costs 10 credits to open each subsequent mail.
- It’s free to send photos via mail.
- It costs 50 credits to open videos in mails.
There’s no charge to open the first photo in the mail; however, each following photo will cost 10 credits.
Price structure
To access paid functions, users need to buy credits with real money. Users can pay for these credits using credit and debit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Google Pay and PayPal are also viable payment options, according to the Payment and Refund Policy. However, the operator does not accept scratch cards to pay for credits. The only credit offer available during my review of the platform was 69 credits for $9.99.
According to the Payment and Refund Policy, the operator may also offer a certain group of users a subscription model for services provided by the platform. Under this model, users subscribe to one of the available credit packages. Users then receive new credits at the beginning of each renewal period. The platform renews the subscription automatically and charges the provided payment method for the amount due. The recurring charges only stop when the user cancels their subscription using the relevant feature on the website or by contacting customer support.

Conclusion and recommendations
My review of La-Date.com found that users are likely to have a negative experience. While it is a legit dating site, there are numerous complaints from users about fake profiles and the site being expensive. When I created an account with the platform, I received numerous messages despite not having a completed profile.
There’s also no verification during the registration process, which means users can provide false details and even create multiple accounts. Users who use the subscription package have to contend with the recurring charges and can only avoid these fees by canceling their subscription. Weighing all the pros and cons provided in this review, I recommend users exercise caution when using this platform.

I was talking to a person who claiming to be in the UK. I asked for a photo of her with a peace sign. She sent 2 , but after I did a google search of the photo I found it to be of another woman in a different country. It’s a scam.
i agree it a scam site and they have multiple websites be careful I tested them and everything what they say here is correct I go on just have laugh now I no talk I just hit likes all the time
I went to this site because they said they were better than Latineuro.com Wow what a con
whenever something seems to good to be true...you know the rest. First time ever on a dating site, I was like a kid in a candy store. I had no clue I was being scammed several of my friends urged me to do some research about this site. I got suckered in by a beautiful face and wasn't willing to listen. It will destroy you mentally and financially. if you think it can't happen to you say goodbye to $7,000 like I did, whoever these people are they're low life scavengers use your head gentlemen the one on your shoulders that is.
I have fallen head over heels in love with a man I met on La-Date. I am an intelligent woman and successful in all business and my everyday life. In my head I know I’m being scammed but in my heart I love him and I can’t stop writing to him. He says all the right things but I feel he is lying to me. He says he loves me too and we are gonna get married one day. I just can’t help myself
Thank you for doing this work. If your lonely and seeking companionship you may jump at scams like ladate...I did. Once your emotionally invested it's hard. But thx
What got me, was the length that a woman would go to, to get me to spend more credits. I am an older man and was chatting with a 30 plus lady, I pushed for a meeting, she suggested that she fly to me, (long story, short version) I agreed. She showed me photos of the plane, of her breakfast upon landing (I knew that none of these things were proof, because I had my doubts, serious doubts) Told me of the hotels that she checked out, which were real in my city, still not proof. Meanwhile, she was pounding me with photos or herself and communicating through emails/letters which are more expensive. She told me to come pick her up at a certain hotel, (I never really did believed her, or off and on) I had come this far, I might as well see it through but in the back of my mind was, would a person go through such extremes just to pick up a few extra credits? The answer is yes, of course there was no one to greet me at the hotel, and when I messaged her back telling her/it I was going home, silence was my answer. I copied our 80% of our communication on chat, so that if anyone requested, I could show them that these people have no limits when it comes to lying, deceiving, devious, no morals or ethics at all (lol) and to what lengths they are willing to go to to cheat you out of money.
I'm trying to delete my profile from this website how do I go about deleting my account
LA-Dates is a pit for money – do NOT fall for it. I spent a lot of effort with this web site because the women were pretty and wanted to connect. The site’s rules and costs are ridiculous – crazy when compared to every other dating site. To give you an idea, you have to SPEND 3,000 credits on just one woman by chatting or communicating ONLY through the app – and 3,000 credits cost more than $500 – FOR ONE WOMAN TO JUST TALK ON A PHONE. So you are forced into chasing the possibility of one woman you are continuously chatting with being real and being someone you think you would like to meet – and spend $500+ before you can actually talk to her by phone. TERRIBLE business model for the guys – and a total sinkhole for a money pit. And their cyber cops are quick – on my very first chat with one woman out of dozens I had flagged I had put my contact info in the chat to try and connect with her out of the App. One minute later I got blocked forever and banned from the app. It was then that I found out about how this site is basically a scam for sucking your wallet dry. DON”T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE – Skip this site as enticing as it looks. Its “credits’ are just like a casino – keep pumping in the money and if your first contact turns out to be a lemon for $500, spend another $500 so you can talk with another woman and find out if she is real and can speak some English – something you cannot uncover in simple chats. So even threshold issues are something you take a huge risk with – tough for you if the photos turned out to be years old or the woman fibbed and chatted she could understand English or whatever…..DO NOT FALL FOR THIS TRAP.
I had a feeling it was a scam as I was just used the 20 free credits with no plans to purchase any credits, especially as I saw how quickly those 20 credits were used up. For the next few days, all I did was like a person or like their pictures, wink, or anything that didn't cost me a credit. After awhile, I couldn't wink anymore, but still was able to like the person and like their photos. I had over a dozen "models" chat with me while I couldn't chat back, but I did my "likes". I was surprised to get more fake responses, even responses that were the same from 2 different girls. Even girls, whose level of speaking English was beginners, were chatting to me in perfect English, as I intentionally liked all the beginners. That was the biggest clue that this was all FAKE, not to mention that all of the photos appeared to be professionally taken and with models. I figured that these models would have shared their photos for a cut in the action/scam. I finally decided tonight to see if there were any reviews of this site and i saw this, so I wasn't really surprised.
I have to tell all you guys our there not to use sites like La-Date , I work for an internet company who will remain nameless , There are several companies using the same software using fake profiles . Keep the cash in your pockets guys
Completely fake dating site. 1) with no profile picture I received instant contact - I'm 65 years old - how many 20 year old beautiful women would want chat with me unless they know more about me' 2) Each profile has stunning pictures of women - simply stunning - models - each profile says interest in males 18-90 really you filled out your profile and left that part out 3) chat contacts are so fake - like a 50 year old women asking me if I would be interested in having children with her really at 50 you are going to have a child 4) Some of the profile pictures of the women are from the same room 5) Most of the women pictures look like they are taking pictures with their cell phones but obvious some camera man is taking them 6) Chat contact wording looks like it is coming from a 20 year old sometimes it is hard to understand what they are asking you 7) No one person read my profile and asked a question about me or who I was or what I wanted in a relationship 8) Older women looking for a relationship from South America should know that I am in the USA and so basic chat comments should be more specific on how we could eventually get together 9) When I asked on women if they had ever been to the USA they said that they could not remember - really 10) 99% of the pictures are of gorgeous women - I mean gorgeous women - hard to find one average looking women even the ones over 50 11) Read the occupations of the young gorgeous women with large breasts - big butts - tattoos - and they are doctors, lawyers, etc. really at 25 years old much be nice in their country but not in the USA 12) All the profiles say looking for passion, stability, honest, family oriented men. Really but your profile looks like a porno site of pictures 13) All the pictures have type of poses to show off large breasts, big butts, long flowing hair, make-up, false eyelashes. 14) Either the profile pictures are doctored up or all of these women have breast and butt implants not to mention lip implants. 15) Professional pictures very few could be form selfies! 16) Private pictures, mails and video contacts were sent to me and I never paid for one - I guess the moderators wanted to keep me interested so they let a few of the personal pictures come to me without me paying for them. No nude pictures just sexy underwear stuff. 17) Hard to actually make contact with someone unless you spend 3000 credits what ever that costs. 18) Knowing the costs of credits - how many women would be willing to send me videos, emails, etc. Do you really think that they are spending money to send me them? I have not even uploaded any pictures of myself! 19) Too many beautiful young gorgeous girls contacted me. If they would be real, I could not make up my mind, they are all so beautiful looking. 20) It was very nice to look at so many gorgeous women - it spiced up my love like for sure with a woman I met in the USA. It was nice to dream! So fake site, so fake. If you think otherwise - just look in the mirror and say you were scammed.
hello everyone just call your bank like i did and tell the bank these charges were fraudulent to get your money back and change your debit card is what i did and i got all the money i spend on this scam back. I reported this scam to fbi and department of justice
Kelly this is a scam. I have read the comments that have already been posted. I have tried to get the woman that i chatted with for days to email my personal email and not one but 4 different woman say that they don't feel safe enough to chat on my email. It is a scam. I agree with all of the comments that i have read.
Yes this site is a scam. Out to make you lose money by charging you credits by talking to a woman or maybe a male. You never know because they never give you their phone number and never agree to come on camera live. I don’t know where they get all these pics of these girls. I dont know if they are all working together. If you connect with them on site to long you become hypnotized and really think you are talking to a legitimate person. What gives them away is tgst you may be on another dating site and meet the same woman . In my case it is a girl named Deborath. Funny part is that each woman did not know what we texted about on the other site, do you know it was not the same person. I think the sites work together. The LA-Date site and the Datemyage site. They both are expensive. On LA-Date site it costs 2 credits per text sent. 10 credits per pic sent or received. Emails with pics are real expensive 2credits to open email. First pic in email is free, each additional pic to open costs 10 credits. The datemyagesite prices are just ridiculous. I kind of get the impression that you may be actually connecting with the actual person (very small) possibility. But I believe the woman who you are talking to receives a kick back for keeping you communicating through the site for long periods of time. If the woman was legitimately looking for true love she would want to communicate by normal ways, I.e. phone, cam, ir simply meet in a public place! Anyone not willing to communicate normally should be considered a scammer until proven otherwise.
Tried to buy credits but declined, only tried once. That brought me here. Weird and read this explanation now I know.
La-Date is a PURE SCAM website, you've been warned ⚠️
I signed up with La Date and will scrolling through these beautiful ladies pictures and trying to read their profile immediately getting messages from ladies I have got a chance to say hello. I was able to scroll down to Cindy Johanna from Colombia and started chatting on the 20 credits La Date provided. I thought it was odd when I would ask a question I would get a reply the same question I asked. This happened two different times. When I asked why she is writing the same question back to me? I should have checked on a review first before signing up.
I found LA-Date through a pop up add. I was not looking for a dating site, but it popped up so I took a look. Wow 20 free credits. I registered but didn't even post a photo. I made out a short Bio. Supposedly all these beautiful women wanted to chat with me right off. That should be a Red Flag. My Free Credits were used in moments. I clicked to buy credits. They charged me $2.99 .. A few days later I used those credits.. Many supposed women are writing to me. I need more credits to reply to an e-mail . One credit card was denied tried another. Charged $29.99 my Credit card Co blocked it as fraudulent. At this point I scrolled through their Terms.. You can not actually have real contact info with a Lady before you spend 3,000 Credits on her which costs around $720.00 USA Dollars. This is the Biggest Scam RIp Off I ever saw amongst dating sites. I try to delete my Profile and a chat pops up and they give me a huge line of Clever BS how great they are and how all the Ladies are screened. Then the chat was lost.. I got an e-mail saying I must have changed my mind. If I want to cancel .. i must Say I promise not join any class action Law suits against LA-DAte and the reps tell me it's not a dating service? Hello DATE is in the Name .. I asked what LA stands for they guess for Latin Since most of the ladies are in Colombia. I have been back and fourth a few Days Now at this point trying to comply with my name e-mail and a Promise not be enter in a class action suit against them. Can't do it b chat must send them an e-mail . The $29.99 Charge went through later. I asked to have it refunded and they did refund me the $29.99. I would not find any legitimate reviews on LA-Dating until I found this page. I sure hope they don't exchange my Credit card Number with any of their other scams.. Maybe I should cancel it and get a new one.
La-date is a scam! The tried to charge my account 3 times for $99 each. It’s a good thing that my bank caught it and declined the transactions! Do not give them your account information!
