FuckLocalStrangers.com may seem like a good choice, but it is not reliable. We found signs of a rip-off on the landing page, for this site uses computer-generated virtual profiles. We decided to create a profile to experience the site for ourselves.
Luckily for us, the site admitted right away that they were using their own virtual profiles. We did not have to go looking for evidence of a fake chat service. However, while they did admit to using fake chats, they did not explain to visitors what they were for. Visitors who are unaware of fake chats might still join and get ripped off. A fake profile shows a fictitious person with whom a date in real life is not possible.
According to reviews, all the profiles were fake. It is not possible to meet real people through this site. We found more information in the terms and conditions where we read about the purpose of entertainment. Fake dating sites use the term “entertainment,” as a way of justifying their use of fake profiles. However, having fake profiles just makes it harder for users to avoid fake chats. Users are also not aware of these fake profiles. Instead of fake chat operators, this site uses chatbots. Bots will engage new users with messages after they have registered.
The following is stated in the terms and conditions
3.12. Bots and Automated Profiles. Please, note that while using Our Services You may sometimes interact with automated online accounts and/or fictitious profiles, which its interactions have been generated by or with the assistance of automated programs or scripts, or by real persons that have been contracted or employed by Us (Hereinafter, referred to as “Bots”, “Automated Profiles” or “Fictitious profiles”). These Automated Profiles are being used within the Services for enhancing Your amusement experience and providing You with entertaining services, which helps You to better intercommunicate with another user who is a real human being.
The subscription is a trap
During the registration process, users are not made aware by the operator that the users on this site will mostly be fake. The way the site explained it on the landing page is that even though there are computer-generated accounts, users can still chat with other real users. Additionally, the computer-generated virtual profiles have no indicator to show that they are fictitious. Due to our experience in dealing with sites like these, we knew right, this site was a scam. After registration, costs will develop for premium memberships.
We discovered reports of scams with a subscription trap from reviews that we found on the internet. We assume that the automatic renewal is the trap the reviews were referring to. The site’s operator makes the termination process difficult for users. They do this so that users will miss their deadline for termination. In the end, the subscription renews again and again. Also, the place where the operator is located is a huge clue that the company is a scam. This website is operated by Web Consultancy, which is based in Mahe, Seychelles.
