There are also many positive reviews and others that weren’t as believable.

Interestingly, the platform offers a live-streaming feature, which isn’t the typical erotic webcam streams that can be found on some dating sites. Instead, it’s a streamed hangout where users can themselves and interact in a chat with other members. Users can stay and simply watch, send texts, or appear on-screen. At the very least, this function is reassuring as it confirms the site’s users are real. Moreover, it seems to be the favorite feature, even for those who generally wouldn’t recommend the experience.

First impression

EMEHive has a fresh and modern interface, with pink and white graphics and an image of a beautiful young Asian woman who welcomes new users on the landing page. According to the site, the platform has been featured in some Asian and Asian-American media; however, I couldn’t find any of these outlets. The platform also heavily showcases its YouTube channel as well. It claims to have a unique matchmaking system that caters specifically to the Asian community. The site also presents a live-streaming feature where singles can interact in real time.

Navigation

All visible profiles on the site include a photo, as the site requires this to be featured in the member search section. Some people’s profiles may look too perfect, whereas others are more down-to-earth. There are some exciting features on the platform, such as the live streams. At the very least, this function is reassuring as it confirms the site’s users are real. There aren’t any ads on the site. Generally, the site is tidy and intuitive. Our empty profile didn’t receive any instant interest from fake profiles, just as it should be on a dating platform.

Registration process

They can choose their preferred sign-up method and then select their gender and what gender they’re interested in, with options that include non-binary and transgender identities. Finally, we can access the profile settings and adjust everything to our liking. A graph indicates how much of the profile has been completed.

The platform allows users to send text messages and pictures, and they can also like other users’ profiles. Users can also send a virtual “Smile.” Even choosing to visit a profile can be a subtle way of flirting, as it’ll let that user know you are curious about them. Still, I know from experience that it’s a good idea to be more proactive. Interestingly, users can appear in real time on a public live stream, or they can choose to watch the stream session and send messages or diamonds to the streaming user.

Users can also search for their preferences by applying the site’s filters. This service is mainly for people who are looking for a long-term relationship.

The website features a default matchmaking method, although not much is discussed about it on the site. Every Thursday, users receive a personalized match that’s based on the platform’s compatibility algorithm. In addition, users can sort the results that come from their search filters, sorting by the newest members, or checking who was last online. It’s possible to filter on preferences such as ethnicity, age, languages spoken, height, interests, and many more.

Free functions: What’s available to free users on the site isn’t actually too bad. However, it’s not clear how many messages users can send or if there’s any limitation to the number of streams they can watch.

Paid functions: Premium users can send unlimited messages, see the read receipts in their conversations, and have access to the site’s advanced search filters, and the site expertly sorts matches for them. If a user purchases diamonds, they can choose to gift them on a live stream.

Price structure

The website offers both diamond packages and subscriptions to the site. Diamonds are a one-time purchase, while a subscription is valid for a period of time. However, at the end of that time, the site renews the user’s subscription automatically, unless they cancel. The only payment method the site accepts is credit card. So, in some places on the website, there appear to be two different paid subscriptions. However, I didn’t find that available in the payments section. Conclusion and recommendations

EMEHive.co is a dating platform for Asian singles all over the world. It looks fresh and professional. However, I did find some phony profiles. Furthermore, there are photos on the platform that the operator should remove, as they go against the site’s guidelines. The price structure is a little confusing, as there seem to be two different subscription services at once, and sometimes there’s only one. It’s not clear what users can access with a package of diamonds, or how many free messages users are given with a free account.

Some users online think that it’s not the ideal dating service. Although it’s possible to find someone, there are many questionable profiles on the platform. Some users aren’t too happy about the prices, considering the pros and cons. Therefore, even if the site is legit, many user ratings are mediocre and reviews of the site are mixed.
