Report for Delightful.com review
The online dating platform Delightful.com does not look promising at first. The dated design is off-putting. However, there is a little more to it than we initially thought. It has been developed by Mash Dating LLC, from Dallas, Texas. We do not have much experience with this company, that apparently operates under the name PeopleMedia. To our surprise, we found out it is owned by Match.com, a reputable operator in the online dating business. For this reason, we needed to dig a little deeper.
We proceeded to create a temporary profile and examined the Terms and Conditions. The members’ area still looked rather underwhelming, but the profiles seemed real. There were no clear signs of a fake chat. So, we looked for past user experiences online. The portal is somehow associated with TV-star Steve Harvey, although the landing site does not mention anything about this. It just shows a background full of little profile photos, and a simple text invites us to meet love-minded singles in our area.
The truth is, we could not do much with our free profile. We were prompted to purchase a subscription the moment we tried to access the messaging feature. But the user reviews are not very encouraging. The most common complaint is the low quality of the male profiles. Even if the company did not intend to create a rip-off, it looks like the members do not take the website seriously. So, at the end of the day, the users are not getting value for their money.

Details on the Delightful.com review
Delightful.com is an online platform which does not look very glamorous, but it is run by a company called Mash Dating LLC. They are based in Dallas, Texas, and ultimately owned by Match.com. Seeing the name of this reputable company was a big plus in our book, but not enough to gain our trust without further research. This is what we found out about this website.
Believable profiles
Our first impression of the members’ area was not great. The design looks dated, especially considering that the team has Match.com behind them. We took a closer look at the profiles, and those seemed real. Both the pictures and the bio-texts were delightfully human. There were many women available in our area. And nothing seemed to indicate this was a fake chat. According to our experience, fictitious accounts usually look identical in their structure, or simply too perfect.
Here, there was a wonderful variety of individuals, and we believe this was not planned to deliberately scam the users. However, we could not talk with anybody, unless we signed up for a paid membership. We must mention that a single month is quite pricey, as it costs over 30 dollars. The fee becomes a little more reasonable if you go for a longer membership. But in that case, it had better be worth it. Sadly, the clients of the platform disagree.
Excerpt from the Terms & Conditions (as of 21/08/2023)
By creating an account, you grant to PeopleMedia a worldwide, perpetual, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free right and license to host, store, use, copy, display, reproduce, adapt, edit, publish, translate, modify, reformat, incorporate into other works, advertise, distribute and otherwise make available to the general public Your Content, including any information you authorize us to access from Facebook or other third-party sources (if applicable), in whole or in part.
Negative reviews
However, we were so put off by the design that we decided to read what other users had to share about their experience. We could not find positive reviews, unless they were written by professional websites that evaluate dating portals, just like ours. Nevertheless, regular clients were not impressed. They did not alert us to a scam, but there was a common theme in the criticisms.
It was generally women complaining about the low quality of the men’s profiles. They meant it was impossible to find a proper date there. Somehow, the operator has failed to attract eligible daters. Maybe they have not managed to educate the audience on how to use the website effectively, or the design does not encourage the members to complete the profiles satisfactorily.
The conclusion from our Delightful.com review
Delightful.com is a dating portal managed by a company called Mash Dating LLC. They are based in Dallas, Texas, and are managed by world-renowned Match.com. However, the platform itself was not as impressive as one might expect. The design looks sad, and the users sound disappointed. They do not claim it is a rip-off, but say it is not worth it, due to the low quality of the profiles. It seems like the pricey subscription is not worth it.
