We don’t have a lot to say about the landing page. CoupleDates.com appears to be a safe dating site. Signing up is easy as well as free of charge. Unfortunately, the operator doesn’t provide the visitors of the landing page with that much information. Doing research elsewhere also doesn’t get you any further. There are many good-looking and active members, even though nobody seems to know about this site. Most of the other members in the members’ area are fictitious. This site is a fake chat scam as well as a subscription rip-off.
There are too many limitations
As a new member, you won’t have to wait long for the first messages to arrive. The only problem is that you can’t read most of them. We received several messages as well as a video, but can’t view anything. We can only send 5 messages for free. If we upgrade our basic membership to a full membership, we can chat as much as we want.
Full members can also read all of their messages and watch videos. Apparently, the operator really wants us to purchase this full membership. We are informed that the messages in our inbox are deleted after just 60 minutes should we fail to upgrade. We know from experience that this is not a good sign.
A trial membership that isn’t so cheap after all
Right from the start, we are offered a trial membership. This one-day membership is available at a price of only 0.99 USD. There is a reason for why the operator wants us to go for this option. It transforms into a paid subscription of 38.95 USD per month. To prevent this, we have to submit a cancellation before the trial membership terminates. This information is only mentioned in the fine print. It is obvious that the operator wants us to overlook this important detail. If we miss the very short cancellation period, we have to pay for a pricey subscription.
Just one out of many scam dating sites
We have enough reason to believe that CoupleDates.com is full of fake profiles. The operator doesn’t mention the usage of fictitious profiles. Based on our experience, this doesn’t necessarily have to mean anything. Judging by their behavior, it seems like these profiles are fictitious and used to engage in conversations with the real users. This makes it possible for the operator to entice the users to purchase the full membership. We have dealt with InfraWeb Solution Ltd before. In our previous reviews, we have already exposed the fake chat scam of the operator from Hong Kong.
