The online dating platform XXXPersonals.com advertises with many interesting features, millions of female members, and free registration. According to the landing page, the website is a perfect place for everyone who is looking for one-night stands and naughty adventures. As the website is well designed and packed with useful information, it appears very professional and trustworthy. However, as soon as we have a closer look at the terms and conditions, we unfortunately find out that the site is a rip-off.
Disappointing experience guaranteed
After the free registration, new users quickly receive numerous messages. These messages appear to be sent by real people, but in fact, they are part of the website’s so-called “online envoy” program. In other words, these messages are created and sent by chatbots and employed operators, who are hiding behind fictional profiles. As users are not sufficiently informed about these fictional profiles, they understandably assume a real person behind each member profile. Hoping to arrange a date, users want to reply to the promising messages quickly. But to be able to do so, they have to become paying members first.
The following excerpt is from the terms and conditions
"An Online Envoy™ may be a real person, such as another XXXPERSONALS.COM Member, a digital actor, an avatar or a synthespian (e.g. a computer generated "person" or "character"). Online Envoys™ may be employed by XXXPERSONALS.COM or a third party to enhance Your online experience. For example, an Online Envoy™ may provide an electronic introduction to new or existing XXXPERSONALS.COM features or functionality.Online Envoys™ may also provide to You, or enable You to receive, digital introductions to all Members. Online Envoys™ may also be employed to enhance online relationships, encourage active participation in XXXPERSONALS.COM or discourage inappropriate behaviorAn Online Envoy™ may be a current or past XXXPERSONALS.COM Member, an independent contractor, a digital creation, You or a digital representation of You."
Obviously, it is impossible to arrange real-life dates with fictional profiles. But unfortunately, users are not sufficiently informed about the “online envoy” system, and are therefore purposefully tricked into costly membership subscriptions. Consequently, XXXPersonals.com must be considered a cheeky rip-off and cannot be recommended at all.
On the internet, we can find numerous negative reviews about XXXPersonals.com. According to former users of the site, all information on the landing page is misleading and false. The site pretends to be a legitimate dating platform. But it turns out to be an expensive fantasy entertainment chat, which can never lead to a real-life date. The operator behind this scam is Interlist Ltd., from Winchester, Hampshire, in the UK.
