The online dating portal Whiplr.com looks very promising. On the landing page, we read about free registration and the great service. All in all, it sounds perfect. We started some research on the internet. During that research, we found many negative reports about this platform.

According to the information from former customers, this website is a cheeky scam with a fake chat. Profiles seem to be fake and controlled by agents. Of course, we checked the legal information of the site, and we found proof for agents who seem to take the role of an operator. The company behind the website is Matech Limited.

Whiplr.com advertises with a great offer. On the landing page, we read about free registration and high chances for a date. Also, the online dating site shows a lot of erotic content on the homepage. All in all, the first appearance is just great. But the second impression of the site is bad. We did some research on the internet and found many negative reviews about the site. According to the details from reports by former customers, this site is a rip-off with a fake chat. So, the profiles in the members´ pool seem to be fake and show fictional people. Of course, it is not possible to meet a fictitious person in real-life. Furthermore, the fake profiles are not marked as such. Plus, agents or operators who seem to control those fake profiles, will not identify as such.  As we see it, that does not sound good.

We checked the legal information of the dating site. In the terms and conditions, we read the name of the operator. This site is operated by Matech Limited, which is based in Hong Kong. Now, you should never judge a book by its cover. But, Hong Kong is not a trustworthy location for an operator of a dating site in the US. Moreover, the reputation of the company is bad as well. During our research, we read about some negative experiences from former customers. Those reviews explain how the scam works. Right after the registration, a new member will receive a lot of messages from other users. Those messages entice users into a chat. But to reply, costs will occur which makes it a rip-off. The messages seem to come from agents.

In the terms and conditions, we read about agents and third-party licensors

The online dating website Whiplr.com seems to be great at first sight. But according to our information, this site is nothing but a huge scam with a fake chat. The site claims to make many dates possible. But we assume that the members´ pool has only got fictitious profiles which are controlled by employed operators.
