The result of our Whindr.com review: Our test on Whindr.com turned out to be an insufficient dating website.

The fact that the name of the online dating portal Whindr.com has a very strong resemblance to Tinder is certainly no coincidence. The design also reminds of the successful app and a bit of WhatsApp. Somewhat arrogantly, the portal even claims to be better than WhatsApp. In our experience, such promises are usually misleading.

In the terms and conditions, we find out who is responsible for the portal Whindr.com. The company Whindr Ltd, from Prague in the Czech Republic, operates this website. We do not know them from the past and could not find any reports on the internet. We only find a few testimonies which claim that the website is a rip-off with faked profiles.

The statement “Your free WhatsApp Sex & Dating site” on the home page is incomprehensible and misleading. Although members can exchange their WhatsApp numbers, we cannot find any relation between Whindr.com and WhatsApp. However, the team from Whindr.com claims to be better than WhatsApp because they have added functions like video profiles, related interests, and geographic locations. These features will help to make matchmaking so much easier. At the same time, the portal admits that they are still developing.

Besides the invitation to join this online dating platform Whindr.com there is not much significant information about this portal. If you scroll down on the starting page the visitor can see a small selection of profiles from the member's area. The sign-up process is very easy and fast. As a reward for registering, an advertisement for a porno webpage pops up. After the newbie has finally confirmed their e-mail address, they will be redirected to the member’s pool. There is nothing special here, except some profile pictures you can “like” or not.

We read some negative reviews online from former users. They complain that the member’s pool is full of fake profiles and that the portal Whindr.com is nothing more than a rip-off with moderated chats. The company behind the scam

The operator behind this rip-off with fake profiles and moderated chats is Whindr Ltd from Prague, in the Czech Republic. This company freely admits in their terms and conditions to implement “entertainment” (faked) profiles in their service. Moderators are hiding behind the fictitious profiles and lure the naïve member into senseless chats. To interact with other “member’s” you need “credits”. The 10-credit starting balance is gone in seconds, and the user must upgrade their free membership to premium before they can continue to chat. The price for this rip-off is USD 19.00 per month.

No amount of good design or borrowing from well-known apps like Tinder will help to cover the fact that the online portal Whindr.com is nothing more than a rip-off with fake profiles. Users will have bad experiences with Moderators hiding behind fictitious profiles. Real dates are impossible.
