The result of our TransDr.app review: Our test on TransDr.app turned out to be an sufficient dating website.

The online dating portal appears with a no-nonsense, simple but modern design. The slogan is “A Non-judgmental Dating Community for Trans People.” The whole thing reminds a bit of Tinder which is an interesting concept. We start our research and come across my negative reviews. The criticism starts with very expensive, poor customer service and suspicion of a subscription rip-off.

Neither on the home page nor in the terms and conditions of the online dating portal TransDr.app do we find the name of the operator of the website. Even an intensive search on the Internet remains unsuccessful. The only information we have is the name of the co-founder: Mr Sean Kennedy. Our experience shows not a good first impression of a dating website.

The idea to make a portal, an app for the transsexual community, is first of all good. TransDr.app was promoted as the first transgender focussed app. The creators of another app, Huntmii have highlighted that their app has been in existence for a longer period of time. The website and dating app TransDr.app that aimed at the trans and gender diverse community has been widely criticized just a few weeks after release. We start our research and dig deeper into the website to find out whether the criticism is justified or not.

The negative reports about the transgender dating website range from suspicion of subscription rip-off, very expensive, lousy customer service to the lack of features like advanced search functions. We could not find any evidence of a subscription rip-off during our research. Many former users are upset by the TransDr.app marketing team employing the use of derogatory or outdated language, including “tranny” and “shemale”. Many on social media have accused the app of catering to those who fetishize trans people, rather than the community’s needs.

The biggest downfall is the fact you have to pay $ in order to talk to anyone. That to me is ridiculous.

Profiles don’t have a last visited date or timeline and it’s clear 99% of profiles are not active and/or have been abandoned. There is no support, emails go unanswered. Oh, and the database is mixed with some fetish app.

We found much more reviews like the above. All of them with the same tenor. The website is very costly, the customer service is a total disaster, and many of the profiles in the members aren’t active at all.

Who is behind TransDr.app

Neither on the landing page, neither in the terms & conditions, we find a hint of who might be the company that is operating the online dating portal. The only information we found after a sorrow research is that one of the co-founders is a man called Sean Kennedy. We find this fact very suspicious and normally something isn’t right. What reason should there be to hide who is behind the online dating portal TransDr.app. The whole thing smells fishy.

The idea of making a website, an app just for the transgender community, is good. Unfortunately, the implementation at TransDr.app seems not so successful. We find many negative reports on the net, starting with bad customer service and suspicion of fake profiles. Our experience shows that the absence of the operators in the terms and conditions does not make a serious impression.
