Introduction

For those looking for affair dating, MyAffairs.co.uk claims to be the perfect site, with many UK women ready to chat and flirt. Whether it’s a simple one-night fling or a regular affair arrangement, this dating platform presents itself as the place to be. On the landing page, the site operator advertises free sign-up, chat, and flirting. Everything seemed perfect based on the impression it presented, but after digging deeper, the reality isn’t quite what it seems.

Online reviews about this dating platform are scarce, but the ones available align with what I found out—the site is not legit. Its User Agreement page includes a clause that gives the operator the right to use fake profiles managed by chat moderators to keep users engaged and entertained. The UK women advertised on the landing page aren’t real; they’re fictitious profiles designed to lure users into purchasing premium memberships.

Usability and design

First impression

Right from the landing page, this dating platform throws all the signals of a thrilling affair dating platform. It features numerous flashy images of women, supposedly from the UK, looking for fun. They advertise free registration, and users are assured they can easily find UK matches with just a simple click.

However, one thing that caught my attention was a disclaimer in the footer stating that the site is merely a social platform for men and women seeking fun, flirty, or exciting interactions. They also boast about hundreds of daily sign-ups. But here’s the catch: you can’t actually expect to meet anyone in person through the platform. So, overall, this dating site is deceptive, and potential users should be on high alert to avoid disappointment.

Navigation

The site features an intuitive interface, making it easy to navigate. I was able to locate its features and tools without any struggle. The sign-up and login tables are positioned at the top of the landing page. Scrolling down, you’ll find other key tools like the Terms and Conditions, self-exclusion, Privacy Policy, and Pricing, all properly aligned on the left-hand side. They’ve even included a contact form for user support. Unfortunately, this site has no dedicated mobile application, but I could operate it smoothly on my tablet and smartphone, which is a huge plus.

Registration process

Registration on the platform was easy and fast. Both men and women can register, and in terms of sexual orientation, they allow gay, lesbian, and straight individuals to join the platform. Age is another important factor here—you can only sign up if you’re 18 or older, with no maximum limit. New users must also confirm their location, which has to be in the UK.

Another thing I noticed is that email verification is optional. Users can access their accounts even without confirming their identity. While this makes the process convenient, it raises serious concerns about fake users accessing the platform.

General Terms and Conditions

The above excerpt is from the site’s Terms and Conditions. It clearly confirms that users have no chance of a real love experience on the platform. In other words, this dating platform is all about chatting and flirting with fictitious profiles, which, in my view, are mostly not UK women. So, if you’re just looking for playful online banter and don’t mind spending a bit, you might have fun. But don’t even waste your time registering if you’re searching for something real.

Excerpt from the GTC

3.1. myaffairs.co.uk has the goal of allowing users to flirt. myaffairs.co.uk is the platform for users to chat with fictive profiles. The website, service and content are provided for entertainment purposes only and are not intended for establishing meetings with other users. Profiles marked with an icon are fictive profiles with which physical contact is not possible.

Functions and tools

Main functions

This dating platform has a member area section packed with numerous profiles for users to browse and pick matches. Most profiles have photos, some of which are decent, while others are a little off. There is a “Visitors” page for users to view members who have looked into their profiles. Several users had already stalked my profile, though they didn’t leave a message. The “Favourites” is another feature that helps members save profiles they wish to engage with in the future.

One feature that caught my eye was the self-exclusion option, which helps members regulate the addictive nature of dating platforms. Users can request a temporary ban to control the amount of time they spend on the platform.

Communication tools

Text messaging is the primary communication tool on the platform. Unfortunately, there are no video calls or live chat tools, so this platform can be a little boring if you fancy one-on-one communication. If you want to contact other members, you can browse the member area section and text the members you want to chat with.

Alternatively, you can select profiles already interested in the “Visitors” section. After creating an account, you’ll also receive numerous messages. In my case, I received several, but I couldn’t reply since I was using a free membership.

Special features

There are no special features on this platform.

Security and data protection

Privacy policy

This dating platform shares user data with third parties, and new users must accept the terms before gaining full access to the platform. Another important point to note is that the platform uses cookies, so users should stay alert to third-party cookies to ensure their personal information remains safe and secure.

Security measures

The site’s security measures are unconvincing, as the privacy policy does not provide many details or specifics. The site operator only mentions that they have hired a data officer. SSL encryption and firewalls, which are essential technologies for any online platform, are not available on the site. So, in terms of security, I would consider this dating platform riskier.

Target group analysis and matching quality

Demography

MyAffairs.co.uk caters to individuals seeking online chats with women from the UK. The platform welcomes anyone aged 18 and older genuinely interested in connecting with others, whether for casual conversations or potential friendships. It features a diverse user base, ranging from younger to older women. It also covers various regions across the UK, including London, Wales, and Scotland. The site is inclusive, allowing users to explore connections regardless of their sexual orientation. The site offers a fair mix of male and female profiles, allowing users to connect based on their preferences.

Matchmaking algorithm

Your match suggestions are personalized based on your profile settings through the platform’s matchmaking algorithm. However, you can also use search filters to find profiles that match your preferences, such as age, location, and marital status. Once you encounter someone who interests you, you can start a conversation and see where it leads.

Costs and price-performance ratio

Free vs. paid functions

You already know registration is free of charge. As long you are a registered member, you gain limited access to the website features. With a free account, you can edit your profile settings anytime, browse and view other members’ profiles, and save favorites. You can also send 3 free icebreakers for the start. However, users must pay to unlock the most critical functions and have the full experience. It will cost you to send messages, more icebreakers, and attach photos in chats.

Price structure

This platform uses a credit-based system, meaning users buy virtual credits to unlock premium features like messaging. Unlike subscription plans, this setup gives you more control over your spending. Users only pay for what they use. Credits come in different package sizes, and the bigger the package, the better the deal, as the cost per message goes down:

XS 10 Credits:£13.95
S 25 Credits:£32.95
M 50 Credits:£59.95
L 100 Credits:£114.95
XL 200 Credits:£219.95

You can pay using Credit Cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Wallet, and the site promises secure and discreet transactions. To keep things private, the charge will appear as “Stichting Pay.nl” on your bank statement. Remember that unused credits expire after three months and can’t be redeemed for cash or refunded.

Conclusion and recommendations

MyAffairs.co.uk is a chat-based platform intended for those who enjoy online flirting. This site might be a good fit if you’re looking for a place to have exciting, uninterrupted conversations. However, keep in mind that each chat message comes with a cost. With over $1 per message, knowing what you’re paying for is crucial. That’s why I’ve put together this review, covering key aspects like features, pricing, and the overall pros and cons.

One critical thing to note is that this is strictly an entertainment platform. The site uses fictional profiles managed by chat moderators. This information is detailed on the landing page and in the Terms and Conditions. So, if you’re considering joining, just know that the experience is limited to virtual flirting only.
