Report for SingleCupids.com review

We will begin our review of SingleCupids.com with its landing page. It is a straightforward page, and no one should have trouble navigating through it. However, the site could benefit from a makeover. The web design is not eye-catching. Having a better design and color scheme would encourage visitors to sign up. There are membership options with fair prices that users can choose from once they have signed up.

The site does not mention anything about the site’s operator, nor is this information provided anywhere else on the internet, which is a red flag that the site is a scam and a rip-off. The site uses fake profiles to create messages with users, meaning it is a fake chat service. These fake profiles are named “ONLINE CUPIDS®,” according to the terms of service. The site also shares user details to other network sites, so it lacks the proper data protection.

In addition, the website has some abnormal features. The site sometimes does not send a confirmation email to the email users provide, so the site will ask for a different email, which shouldn’t happen. Also, if users do manage to sign in, whenever they leave the site to look at a new tab or window, the page will be redirected to a different page that is not SingleCupids.com. The site doesn’t mention if it is free to sign up for or not. Knowing if registration is free is a big decider of whether visitors would join the site or not.

Details on the SingleCupids.com review

Upon arriving at SingleCupids.com, it seemed like most of the sites we have already been on. The landing page was straightforward, and the colors were very plain: gray, black, and pink. Even though there is a picture of an attractive woman on the page, it didn’t improve the site’s appearance. The only thing that really stands out on the page is the large, bold writing that encourages visitors to sign up.

If visitors sign up, they won’t know it is free to sign up until they try to sign up. The site does mention the use of fake profiles for entertainment, so it is a clear rip-off. Every so often, the site will redirect users to a different site, which is another example of the site being sketchy.

Fictitious profiles

The site does mention that it uses fake profiles to communicate with users. “Fake chat” operators use profiles to engage in fake chats with other users. If users pay for premium membership, they are being scammed as they are not talking to real people. The fictitious profiles have a specific name on the site: Online Cupids, which are mentioned when you sign up.

The Online Cupids will constantly message members to entertain and keep conversations flowing. However, nobody can ever meet these Online Cupids in person because they are “fake chat” operators. From our experience, once we signed up, we immediately received messages and notifications from other supposed users. Those are huge red flags indicating this site is a scam.

Excerpt from the Terms & Conditions (as of 22/12/2022)

9D You further understand, acknowledge, and agree that, from time-to-time, Online Cupids® profiles may contact both free users and paid users via computer-generated Instant Messages or emails for purposes referenced above. These messages may be transmitted to multiple recipients at the same or similar time(s). Messages from Online Cupids® profiles will contain the uniform designation “Online Cupid” to notify the user that a message has been received from an Online Cupids® profile.

Operator

The site’s operator is hiding its identity, which is a clear sign of a scam. Most dating sites will show who their operator is, but this site’s operator cannot be found on the site or anywhere online. We used ionos.co.uk to search for the operator, and the name came up as “Proxy LLC,” which is a false name that operators use when they are trying to be avoided.

The conclusion from our SingleCupids.com review

In conclusion, SingleCupids.com is just like any other fake dating site we had experienced in past reviews. The landing page is not that special, but is easy and simple to use. It is free to sign up on the page, even though it does not mention it anywhere on the site. There are fictitious profiles on the site which are named “ONLINE CUPIDS®.” They are used by “fake chat” operators to engage users in fake chats with whom they will never meet with in real life.
