In our review of NaughtyPairs.com we found another scam from Porticato Media Ltd. The website offers a free subscription but does not mention any further information on the landing page. Our experience tells us that this lack of information is always a bad sign. In fact, the only thing we can do for free is to register. Any further action will cost us money.
Right after registration, we find out that any communication with other users requires a paid membership. The company offers a cheap trial membership. However, they are tricky. The 3-day trial membership will renew automatically unless we cancel it in time. Nevertheless, cancellation should be done at least 72 hours in advance, which is just impossible.
This is an extract from the terms and conditions
All paid subscriptions automatically renew for the period and price that you signed up to. You may cancel the auto-renew feature to avoid recurring charges, but you must act at least 3 days (that is, 72 hours) prior to the renewal date.
Fake chat operators and fake chat
Furthermore, users will need to pay money to chat with a fake chat operator. This is easy to spot in the terms and conditions. However, most users do not read them carefully. No problem, we have done this for you! In the terms and conditions, we can read about these fake chat operators.
The following excerpt is from the terms and conditions
We may from time to time use an automatic pop up notification system and other communication channels e.g. inbox or instant messages to send Activity Alerts to you. Activity Alerts will be marked in your inbox with a specific icon, and some auto generated Activity Alerts may require an upgraded Paid Membership in order to see the content of messages and reply to them.
We have also read about these fake chat operators in many reviews from previous users of other websites managed by Porticato Media Ltd. The company is well known for the use of fake chat operators. Therefore, the chances of finding a real person in their fake chat are minimal.
