Our first impression of MatchTruly.com is extremely positive. The landing page has a simple, yet effective design and it does not show any explicit content. It is easy to mistake the website for an honest matchmaking platform, but our findings will demonstrate that this is not the case.
The reader is informed that they try their best to continuously work and improve the quality of the service, by launching new features and blocking users who do not respect the rules. One of these rules, as clearly stated in the Terms and Conditions, is that a member should not impersonate a fantasy character. Unfortunately, this is exactly what the platform itself does.
The chat is a fraud
On the internet, we have found multiple reviews by former users who are ready to swear that all the profiles of this platform are fake and therefore real-life meetings are not possible. Allegedly, these accounts are created and controlled by professional animators. Their only purpose is to lure the victim of the fake chat scam into buying the expensive “credits”. These are necessary to send messages.
At first, we were a little skeptical because we could not find any evidence to confirm these accusations. Moreover, the website appears to be genuine and the profiles that we have personally checked, look legitimate. But after carefully reading the extensive Terms and Conditions, we can confirm that MatchTruly.com purchases services from third-party suppliers that provide special members to the platform, identified as “trusted members.”
Even if the selection of words is purposely ambiguous, we know from experience that this means only one thing. Trusted members are nothing more than fake chat operators who are paid by the company, or by a third-party provider, to rip-off the users.
The following is stated in the Terms and Conditions
To engage new Members to register on MatchTruly, we purchase services from various third-party service providers (“Suppliers”). Among other services provided, Suppliers refer potential Members to us for registration on the Service.
Who are they?
When a company behind a dating website does not reveal their real identity and location, it is a clear red flag that they are trying to cover some sort of scam. Otherwise, there would not be any reason for MatchTruly to hide their name and where they come from.
