HotAttract.com advertises itself as a fast-growing dating portal, where millions of members have joined to find casual encounters. This site is geared towards people who hope to find local hookups. The home page suggests that there are thousands of users online. The owner of this dating platform is Thulium LTD, a company based in Nicosia, in Cyprus. We have previously given this operator a negative review for running fake chat sites.

The home page features an image of an attractive woman, and registration is supposedly free. The fine print under the registration portal reveals that by signing up, users agree to being contacted by fictional profiles. This is quite suspicious and suggests that this is not a trustworthy website for finding a date.

In the Terms and Conditions, the operator states that they create automated accounts. They say that this is enhancing the experience of users. However, we recognize this as a sign of a subscription rip-off scam. Individuals are required to purchase a premium membership, to reply to the enticing messages which they receive. These messages are almost certainly from false profiles, so unknowing members could easily be misled into wasting their money.

Fake chat helpers

As we were suspicious about the use of fake profiles, we examined the Terms and Conditions. We found that HotAttract.com creates fictional member profiles, to chat with users. They claim that their fake chat operators help members practice their communication skills. This is quite strange to us, as the supposed purpose of the website is to chat with genuine people.

Additionally, the Terms and Conditions promises that their computer-generated profiles are marked with a nickname, to be easily recognizable by the user. Using our test account, we discovered that each fake profile is marked with a small label that says, “online cupid.” This appears very faintly, and most users would not even notice it.

Full of false profiles

Looking through the profiles on the members page, we found that every profile we clicked on was an “online cupid,” or fake chat operator. Our account received multiple messages in the first few minutes of activity, all of which were automated. If users of the site had not read the fine print or Terms of Service, they would be inclined to purchase a membership to chat with these profiles.

We quickly found that the purchase of a premium membership was required to send messages on this website. Based on our previous experience with this company, as well as the many user experience reviews, found on the internet, this is indicative of an auto-renewal subscription scam. Wherein, cancellation is usually very difficult. We know the operator of HotAttract.com, Thulium LTD from Nicosia, in Cyprus, to be a company who is notorious for conducting rip-offs like this.

We found HotAttract.com to be another rip-off dating portal run by Thulium LTD. This site claims to be free and to have a huge membership pool for finding hookups. In fact, it is full of fake profiles, which attempt to lure users into buying a subscription. There is very little chance of meeting a genuine person to date by using this platform. So, we do not recommend that anyone uses it.
