HiddenMatches.com is another dating platform from White Castle Design BV. This operator runs several platforms and all of them are quite similar. They may have a different design, and they target different groups of customers, but they all work the same way.

The operator uses fictitious profiles to make customers feel that the page is full of attractive profiles. Furthermore, these fake profiles will get in touch with new users in an attempt to stimulate them to engage in a conversation.

Self-created profiles

During our research, we found plenty of evidence of a fake chat scam. First, we have our own experience while using the platform. As a new user, we were approached by these fake profiles right after registering. These profiles try to entice new users to chat with them. Because, to do so, the customers must buy some expensive “credits” in advance.

Apart from our own experience, we also found evidence on the footer of the landing page, as well as in the terms and conditions. On the landing page, we read, among other information, that the platform contains fictional profiles and that these profiles are for “entertainment” purposes only. In the terms and conditions, we also found a paragraph mentioning these fictive profiles. But our experience is that most users never read the terms and conditions. Therefore, they will not be aware of this fake chat scam.

An expensive rip-off

This platform is not cheap. To send messages, customers are requested to buy credits in advance. These credits are expensive but, even worse, they are useless. Users will only be able to communicate with fake profiles. They will never find a real date. However, since the payment of these credits is non-recurring, we should not fear a subscription rip-off.

HiddenMatches.com is a fake chat scam in which the operator uses fictitious profiles to entice the new users to pay for chatting. It is not the first rip-off that we have seen from this operator. The operator of the site is not reputable and our previous reviews about this company have always been negative.
