Report for Geek2Geek.co review

Geek2Geek.co claims to be an ideal dating site for geeks. After the free registration, we are supposed to find whatever kind of relationship we are looking for. Countless people were convinced by these promises and signed up here to find other fellow geeks. We know that because we found their many negative reviews on various websites. Geek2Geek.co is a fake chat scam and a subscription rip-off.

Fake profiles send generated messages to the real members, to make them pay money for a premium subscription. Only premium members can use the chat and other features. Geek2Geek.co is operated by Shazbot LLC based in Miami Beach. The company tries everything to make the cancellation of the paid memberships as difficult as possible.

Details on the Geek2Geek.co review

According to Geek2Geek.co, the dating site is safe, friendly, and easy to use. On the landing page you see photos of happy looking people. This makes Geek2Geek.co truly look like a decent and fair dating service. The reality looks somewhat different. The company does not intend to match the users with their fitting counterparts. Geek2Geek.co only serves as a platform to rip them off.

Finding reviews that give an opinion about Geek2Geek.co is easy. It seems that the site has successfully sent countless users into an expensive subscription trap. We noticed how many people were talking about the existence of fake profiles. In the terms and conditions, we indeed find a part referring to profiles of this sort.

Excerpt from the Terms & Conditions (as of 22/11/2020)

From time to time, employees of the Company (or its parent or affiliated companies) may create test dating profiles for the purpose of testing the functionality of our Service and website processes to improve service quality for our Members. Interactions originating from geek2geek could be computer generated or could be created by the Site or third party contractors hired by the Site.

Apparently, the operator refers to these profiles as test dating profiles. This is a clever way to hide a blunt, fake, chat scam. According to many reviews, the fake profiles send generated messages to start many conversations with the users. They do so because the users are required to pay money to get permission to reply.

Different memberships

On Geek2Geek.co you can choose from a silver and a gold membership. The free membership is granted to everyone but does not bring any advantages. Silver members can send messages to everyone except for free members. Gold members can chat with any user they want. If you are not satisfied with your membership, you can cancel it at any time. Unfortunately, the operator tries to ignore the cancellations as long as possible. There is an auto-renewal function that you must deactivate as well. Even after deactivating it, you will still receive bills for the upcoming months. This site is a clear subscription rip-off.

The former name of Geek2Geek.co was G2G2.co. The scam dating site is operated by Shazbot LLC. The company based in Miami Beach, in the United States, has received many consumer complaints online.

The conclusion from our Geek2Geek.co review

Geek2Geek.co attracts many new users by giving false promises. What looks like a decent dating site, is in fact a scam. The users are enticed to pay money for a premium membership, which will only let them chat with fake profiles. It gets messy when you decide to cancel your membership. Cancellations are often ignored. Deactivating the auto-renewal function will not help either.
