The online dating portal FuckForFree.com looks like a great choice. On the landing page, we see an image of a young and attractive woman. Also, the registration is free and done in a few minutes. On the homepage, we did not find a lot of information. This is not good, in general. However, at the bottom of the landing page, we see the links to the legal information. Plus, at the screen for registration, we see an important note. That note explains that this site is for entertainment only. We also found a note about so-called ice-breaker messages.
Ice-breaker and entertainment profiles
The online dating website FuckForFree.com advertises with a solid offer. Also, the name of the platform gives us the impression of a free casual dating site. But, according to the information on the internet, that is not true. After the registration, high costs will occur for a premium membership that will extend automatically. As we see it, that makes the free registration a misleading piece of information. Additionally, we found out that the members of the site are fictitious. We found many reviews about a fake chat. Well, a synonym for moderation is already noted on the landing page.
On the homepage, we found a note indicating that this site uses entertainment profiles. Plus, the portal uses ice-breaker messages. Ice-breakers are automated messages that will be sent from each profile to all other profiles. While registering, you have to accept that your profile will send and reach ice-breakers. In general, an ice-breaker can be a good thing on a reliable website. Here, it is used as a kind of fake chat to animate users to make a purchase. They are used to scamming users by leading them into a subscription trap, according to the reviews on the internet.
The following is stated in the terms and conditions
We ask all our users whether they want to opt into our icebreaker messages and icebreaker actions service, which means that we send icebreaker messages, view profiles, send friend requests, send gifts, comment on content and mark content as hot (icebreaker actions) under the name and on behalf of these opted-in Users.
The trial membership is a trap
After the registration, a new member receives many messages. Those messages are ice-breakers from fictional and real profiles. But, the messages are not marked as an ice-breaker. So, the user does not know that the message was sent automatically. To reply, a pricy membership is needed. Alternatively, a cheap trial membership is available as well. It runs for one day, which sounds great, but it turns out the actual subscription rip-off. It will extend to a normal premium membership afterwards, which is not worth its price.
This is not just the results of our research, but the opinion of the internet community. While doing our research, we found plenty of negative reviews about the site. In general, former users were not just unhappy with the service, they had a negative experience and complained about a cheeky scam. Additionally, we found out that the operator runs more than just this website. In general, be warned as the company seems to run a network of dating sites that are all a rip-off.
