The online dating portal FlirtTactic.com offers free registration. They seem to suggest it is not only the registration that is free but also the use of the site. Well, at least we read about flirting for free on the landing page. Now, that sounds great, but it is part of a rip-off. The operator of the website uses irritating and misleading information to persuade visitors to register.
After the registration, costs will occur for the use of the website. A user will need “credits” which are used to send messages. However, misleading advertising is not a scam. But there is more to come.
The profiles on the landing page are fictional. That is not the result of our research. The operator notes that on the landing page. There, we also read about the “entertainment” purpose of the site. According to that information, the profiles on the site are all fictitious and moderated. Of course, it is fair of the company to show that information before registration.
But, those important details are noted on the very bottom of the homepage. So, the operator tries to hide the information about the fake chat scam. There we also read about the rates for the use of the site.
In the terms and conditions, we found the following note
You also understand that this is a fantasy entertainment Service and that (i) the profiles are fictional and your interactions will be with operators
Meet your fictional love here
The operator of the website calls it entertainment, we call it a rip-off with a fake chat. The company is known to us, we have had experience with them already. The operator is White Mountain Online Solution BV, who are based in Krimpen Aan den Ijssel, in the Netherlands. Plus, we found many reviews about the company. They run a large network of dating sites. All portals in this network have a bad reputation. Former customers mention in their reviews that it is not possible to find one real person in the members´ pool. They are all fake.
