Report for FirstMet.com review
The online dating portal FirstMet.com presents itself with a very modern design and a superb interface. Mobile applications are available, and you can connect with Facebook. This sounds great and makes a legit first impression. But we want to play safe and start our research.
In the first step, we have a look at the terms and conditions. The operator is The Dating Company, headquartered in Plattsburgh, the United States. We have never come across this company before and have a look at the internet. What seems at first to be a legit online dating portal is a big rip-off. We found hundreds of bad reviews and testimonies by former members., They complain in Unison about faked profiles, subscription scams, and no customer support at all. Many people were looking for legal help to cancel their subscription or get their money back.

Details on the FirstMet.com review
The landing page of the dating website FirstMet.com looks excellent and animates the visitor to register for free and become a member. They claim to be featured in the New York Times, The Washington Post, and TechCrunch. What could possibly go wrong here? But we know better. This is all a façade for a brilliant rip-off of the operator from the United States, The Dating Company.
The online portal offers some great features like free unlimited browsing, live chats, mobile apps, and free messaging. The free signing up process is quick and easy, but it is still a big rip-off.
During our sorrowful investigation, we learned that the online portal FirstMet.com has mostly faked profiles. Behind that fantasy profile hide either paid moderators who try to animate you to upgrade your account, or cheeky women from around the globe just asking for money or presents. With none of them, will there be ever a real date. The members’ pool at FirstMet.com is full of fake profiles. The information that the millions of active members are looking for a date is totally misleading.
Another significant issue is the subscription, which will be automatically renewed. We read horrible reports from outraged users who were not able to terminate the membership. Many have hired an advocate to help them. Some claim that it is only possible to cancel the subscription by using an expensive 800 telephone number.
Excerpt from the Terms & Conditions (as of 14/06/2021)
If you want to get scammed and throw away your money, this site is it. Seven out of ten profiles are fake.
This site is full 99% scammers from Ghana ** using stolen pics from girls and want steam cards so they can play video games.
This company lacks morals. I sent this company an email 9 days before my membership was set to auto renew and they claimed to have never got it and charged my credit card and refuse to give me a refund!
The Dating Company is ripping-off their members by luring them into costly subscriptions. Once the member wants to terminate, the operator just refuses to do so. They do not reply to emails, calls, or anything whatsoever, and simply only charge your credit cards. No surprise that the web is full of bad reviews and that many have taken legal actions against this company.
The conclusion from our FirstMet.com review
Yet another online dating portal which is ripping off their naïve customers. Behind the pleasant façade, the operator manages moderators behind fantasy profiles to animate the users to purchase a subscription. Once done, it is always impossible to cancel the membership. The company behind this scam is simply refusing to do that. Save your money and do not even register.
