The operator of CuriousBis.us is well known to us. Sensate Inc runs several dating platforms and most of them are scams. We have written several reviews about these websites and in all of them we found that the operator uses different tricks to get the customers’ money. Therefore, it was not a surprise to find out that this platform was a fake chat scam. Furthermore, we believe that subscriptions here are also a rip-off.
Test dating profiles
In the terms and conditions of the platform, we found evidence of the use of fake profiles. The operator refers to these fake profiles as “test dating profiles” and explains that these profiles are created by the company’s employees. However, they also mention that these profiles are created to “test the functionality” of the site and to help to improve the service and the quality of the experience.
However, we know that this is not completely true. Although the profiles may be used to test the functionality of the website, they are also used to approach new customers and entice them to pay for an expensive membership. We have evidence of this. We received several suspicious messages and invitations right after registering. That was unusual because our profile was not even complete.
The following statement is from the terms and conditions
From time to time, the Company employees (or employees of its parent or affiliated companies) may create test dating profiles for the purpose of checking and testing the functionality of our Website and Service to improve the quality and user experience for its Users.
Subscriptions which become a trap
To communicate with other users, customers must pay an expensive subscription fee. All subscriptions on this site renew automatically. That is not normally a bad thing. However, the problem with this platform is that cancelling the subscriptions seems to be extremely difficult. We have had the same experience on several websites from this supplier. Here the problem seems to be similar. We recommend avoiding any subscription on this website. There is the chance of becoming a victim of a subscription trap.
