Report for CrushNearby.com review
At first sight, the online dating platform CrushNearby.com looks like a decent choice. The website advertises with free registration and four million members. It appears to be a great place to find local singles, who are looking for a date. But as we take a closer look at the footer of the landing page, we quickly notice that the site is a rip-off with a fake chat.
To be able to send messages in the chat, users must pay. But unfortunately, there are no real people behind the member profiles. Instead, they are managed by employed operators. Users are not sufficiently informed about this. Therefore, they are not aware that it is not possible to arrange a real-life date on the site. The operator behind this scam is the infamous Meteor Interactive BV from Utrecht, in the Netherlands.

Details on the CrushNearby.com review
The online dating platform CrushNearby.com advertises with free registration and appears to be an excellent choice. The site claims to have four million members, and that it is a perfect place to find a matching partner for a date in no time. However, we find some information in the footer of the landing page. This soon makes us realize that it is impossible to arrange a real-life date on this portal. We read that the website is for entertainment purposes only and that some member profiles are fictional.
Excerpt from the Terms & Conditions (as of 28/03/2021)
You also understand that this is a fantasy entertainment Service and that (i) the profiles are fictional and your interactions will be with operators
Unfortunately, the chat on CrushNearby.com is not free, only the registration is. To be able to write messages to other members, users must pay. First, they must purchase so-called “credits”, which can then be exchanged for sending messages in the chat. Depending on which of the offered “credit”-bundles is chosen, each message can cost between $1 and $1.50. That is not only extremely expensive, but also completely pointless. With fictional profiles, real-life dates are obviously not possible.
Users are not aware of the fake profiles
As users are not sufficiently informed about the fake chat, they assume there is a real person behind each member profile. Hoping to meet someone with whom a date can be arranged, they are willing to pay for the expensive chat. Thus, they lose a lot of money on entirely pointless conversations. The only one who benefits from the chat is the operator, whose profits rise with each sent message. All in all, we cannot recommend anyone to register here. It is clearly a rip-off.
Meteor Interactive BV is the company behind this scam. We have already had some bad experiences with this operator over the years, as it runs several online dating websites. All of which are known to be rip-offs. The company is based in Utrecht, in the Netherlands.
The conclusion from our CrushNearby.com review
Unfortunately, the online dating website CrushNearby.com is a rip-off and cannot be recommended. Users must pay for every single message they send in the chat. But they are not sufficiently informed about the fact that their chat partners are not real people, but only hired operators, who hide behind fictional profiles. Therefore, it is impossible to arrange a real-life date with any of the members and users lose a lot of money for nothing.

Mature Dates is the same way. I spent oner $1000. Chatting with Goddess who promised great sex. Note, they all have the little heart icon. these sites should all be shut down and prosecuted for fraud
You saved me a lot of money. Fortunately I only spent $10. Dick Hale's detective work very illuminating.
I was ripped of for over 1000$ before I realized the site is fake and none of the women are real, they all promise to meet but never happens and convo drags forever without meeting.
I am being threatened by another member if I don't sent her $500. She says she's going to send naked pics of me to all my Facebook friends and family if I don't pay her $500 to help her with a dentist bill. I have never met her in person. Her member name is 'MassEvo' and her email address is victoriashawn12. She is constantly sending threatening messeges.
complete fake profiles. took me a bit of time and money to finally read the fine print. where they get all these hot women and great pics? all, of which, are "nearby". operator should be put in jail for fraud and made to refund all money they've collected with penalty and interest.
crushnearby.com is a scam because i opened 2 different user name and i got the same messages into 2 different accounts, even the messages are same order, and ingredient and pictures are same. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
100% scam. All 'women' profiles are fake.
One of the 'girls' I was chatting with confessed that she was a man who is getting paid to lure people in to spend more money on chatting. Conclusion - the site is a scam. Stay away.
This I a quote from the CrushNearby terms of service: "You also understand that this is a fantasy entertainment Service and that(i) The profiles are fictional and your interactions will be with operators;" Also, next to their name on their profile is a heart. When clicked on, a message pops up that says "Physical contact not possible" These 2 things alone spell out fake dating, but I took it a step farther. With the permission of 3 female friends, I created profiles in their names with, photos, email addresses I had created for them and from different ISP's than my own or each other. In each case, the profiles were deleted in a matter of hours. In other words, a woman cannot even put a profile on this site. None of the members you interact with are really who they say they are.
This site is a complete fabrication and as the person before me said all fakes
This site is a total scam and I have reported it to econsumer.gov. In order to chat, you have to buy credits. $2.49 for 3 credits or $14.99 for 10 credits which doesn’t make sense because you could buy 3 credits 3 times and only spend about $7.50. However, once you buy the 3 credits, that option is no longer available. The so-called “girls” I was talking to wouldn’t answer my direct questions and seem to be stringing me along. Then I suspected they were doing this to extend the conversation so that I would buy more credits, which is the game. The responses I got in one of my chats had misspellings and improper grammar which led me to believe they were from another country. The company is based in the Netherlands, so I suspect I was chatting with a company employee. In my other chat, she asked if I wanted to get together today. I said sure, then she responded and said she couldn’t because she was 4 hrs away, but she knew my location BEFORE she asked. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PROFILES ARE FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad I only spent $18 before figuring it out!!!
