The online dating platform Cougared.com does not give a good first impression compared to other sites we have experienced. A poor first impression is nothing bad at all. Of course, you should never judge a book by its cover. We did some research on the internet and found a few negative reports about the website. Many former customers share the bad experience that we had. All in all, this website may advertise with a solid offer but seems to be a rip-off with a fake chat. According to the information from former customers, the members´ pool is filled with fake profiles. Those fake profiles show fictional people. As we all know, it is not possible to meet a fictitious person. Problem is that the operator claims to make dates possible. It seems that this is a piece of untrue information to lure more and more people into a scam.
This portal does not appear trustworthy
One more example of the misleading and irritating advertising of the website is the free registration. The registration is free for all genders. But, according to the information from former customers, costs will occur right after that. So, the visitor to the website will assume that dates can be realized for free here. After the registration, exactly the opposite will happen. Costs will occur for a membership. Plus, dates might happen. As we read in the FAQ's, it is possible to meet new people to flirt with. It might happen that a date can be arranged. Of course, no dating site can give a 100 percent guarantee. However, according to the reports from former users this is an empty promise. A date will never be arranged via this site.
Plus, in the terms and conditions, we read the following note
“12.1 By entering the Website you agree that under no circumstance will the Company or its agents, officers or employees be held liable or responsible for: any content contained on or omitted from the Website; any person’s reliance on any such content, whether or not the content is complete, current or correct; any viruses or defects that may be found to exist on the Website.”
The operator of the website who is unknown to us claims to employ “agents”. Those agents seem to be the employed operators of the site who control fake profiles. They will stimulate new users into a chat, but they will not identify as a fictional person. We must point out again, that the company that runs this site is not known to us. An imprint is not provided and the operators name is not noted in the terms and conditions.
